@1980chardison They really were great, even if the value wasn't always there they were always entertaining.

It's so cool that those old boxes included international cards! I only started playing as a kid around 2000 so I missed out on a lot of the more unique packs like this when I got into it (and didn't have the money at the time to buy anything other than occasional packs). Thanks to you and the gifter for sharing it with us!

I bought that set previsions and have used that box to store my decks since. The visions packs were preview packs so only some of the set could be found in them, which is why there were so many duplicates.

Thanks! Another trip around the star! 😄 The boxes from these are great for keeping decks in, and they're just big enough to hold some draft cubes! I'm opening these for nostalgia too, it's really hard to even just break even on opening older sealed products.

Wow, I still use my one of these boxes for my cube. I even used the Japanese Tormods Crypt I pulled from it at FNM last week 😊

@@petespacks it’s a staple in goblin decks, only reason why it’s not more it because of reprints, if that was a reserve list card it would probably be $50-100. It’s basically the best goblin tutor. It’s also so good it’s banned in Legacy which also killed its price.

@ChrisMusson-kv8ph How so? How does being actively alert to injustice make them idiots? The goal of WotC, like most companies is to make profit. Being inclusive, and avoiding producing prejudiced products furthers that goal.

Just discovered this product today and came across your video looking for more information. I see visions cards in this set are identifiable via different art cropping shown on scryfall/magiclibraries. It puzzled me why they tend to sell for the same price as the base version. I guess demand is very low for those cards so sellers don't bother seperating them. Edit: it seems like there are listings for these versions on Cardmarket that sell a couple times a year for a slightly more than the regular.

@ZackeroniAndCheese yeah, sometimes they sell for a little bit more, but it's kind of like the 4th Edition Rivals/Introductory alternate print runs. Most people don't know about them, and they're not different enough that people really seek them out.
