I was born in Cali in the early 50's. Still live here. The CHP is the best. Never had any issues with them even when I had long hair in the 60's and 70's. Back then cops would just see me and I would get pulled over. But the CHP always treated me with respect. God Bless all LEO's and the CHP.

I already watched the Christmas Eve story put together by CHP and my heart was feeling very moved by the story... now I watch this video and I have tears in my eyes as I think about how Angels were definitely watching over this Santa to send a CHP at just the right time to get this Santa/Grandpa delivered safely to his waiting family.... Thanks for sharing this act of compassionate kindness

I remember when a officer did something for me TWO TIMES!! #1: The first time it was a local police officer, and we had no spare tie (we had just used one for a blow out two weeks ago), no money at all and the blow out happened right in front of him as we were pulling over. He tried to figure out what to do to help us, and then his sergeant came behind him and they didn't have a big enough jack for our van, but one of there friends pulled over (lucky enough it was a tow truck!!) and gave him the jack to use to put HIS OWN SPARE TIRE that goes to his cop car for our van. He said he might get in trouble with his chief for doing that, and he'll need his spare back within 31 days. He was an absolute legend. #2: The second time was with a Tennessee state trooper, but I had two encounters with police that night, one was a police officer and a state trooper. The police officer was off duty and sadly wasn't able to do much besides pull us off the road into a parking lot, since our transmission blew out... in a brand new car. Anyway we waited for 1 hour trying to figure out what to do, because we were one hour away from home after we just got done with a road trip from the smokey mountains, and we tried calling all the people we knew at that time (it was 12 am)... No one answered there phone. We had no other choice but to call a police officer, since we had no clue what to do, we were stuck in the middle of nowhere. There was no hotels, or even a store for at least 10 miles... The trooper came and tried to figure out what to do, and looked at car. He then decided to take us ALL THE WAY HOME AND IT WAS ONE HOUR AWAY!! So much bad stuff is put on cops, but the good stuff they do is never shown, and the thing is.... they don't care if it is, they just love helping people. PS: Yes I have terrible luck with vehicles.

CHP is a really respectful outfit. They really do put their own life's in jeopardy every day stay safe fellas. Say hi to poncherelo and baker for me 👍

The bridge in the beginning is The Foresthill Bridge in Placer County. I drive over it twice a day. Beautiful view of The American River. At 782 feet off the river, it’s 3rd tallest in the country.

I live near a shipping port where they unload and truck these blades in. They're very expensive, very heavy, and very fragile. If one of the three blades on a turbine are damaged, and they don't have the replacement on hand, they remove them all so that the unbalanced weight doesnt warp the stock or bearing mount. tldr; it's broken and awaiting repair

I'll have you know-Sir, that the Black-American Officer of which you speak, was "Far-Too-Busy" to be engaged in such a Production. That "Officer" was not-only my Classmate in the Academy ... not-only one of my Best Friends & "Partner" upon Graduating ... but is currently "THE COMMISSIONER OF THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL" ... (which, if you are unaware) ... is the HIGHEST Ranking Member of the CHP !!! And "THAT" is where the "Black-American" (as YOU so phrase-it) is at. "I" never thought of Commissioner Stanley as being a "Black" American ... I always thought of Him as "Warren" ... My Friend & My Partner ... that I'd lay-down my Life-for ... because I knew He'd do the same for me. It's a shame you can't see that for yourself. I'm sure "Warren" would be as disappointed as I am in that respect. BTW- "We're Hiring" ... If you think "You've got what it takes" ... & are willing to change that attitude of yours by knocking that chip off your shoulder. CHiP's don't have chips ...
