Magic Mirror Photo Booth - Complete Step-By-Step DIY Guide

Ойын-сауық

I'm going to show you the best mirror to use for a full size mirror photo booth project. I'll outline the exact glass you'll need, how to frame it, and how to add touch screen technology.

A mirror photo booth can be any size and shape, but we made it to the same size as the touch frame to keep the project super simple. In this build, we used a 75” IR touch frame which cost about $350, along with the Smart Mirror glass. We’ve sandblasted the edges to provide lighting, which cost less than $35! I'll list the Amazon Affiliate links below to each of the items.
75" IR Touch: amzn.to/2TpgIKR
Unlike a regular two way mirror, a photo booth mirror is highly transparent, allowing vivid color to pass through. The overall size of the mirror is built for a 75" diagonal IR touch frame, which plugs in with a USB into any PC.
Now, I'm going to take you through the features I’m really jazzed about:
#1: Tempering the glass makes it ten times stronger which makes it way less likely to break when transporting it. For the photo booths safety, it’s definitely recommended. It’s especially important if you plan on moving the photo booth around a lot or if you’re traveling with it, because if you show up with a broken photo booth, it could ruin your reputation and spoil the entire event.
#2: Sandblasted edges for backlighting: Allows you to add lighting directly into the booth.
You can order custom size glass for your photo booth here:

If you would like a sandblasted edge like in the video, send me a quote request at sales@twowaymirrors.com.
#3. The Light chasing LEDs behind it gives it a "wow" effect that screams "play with me!" The light strip controller syncs to music with a microphone and can be fully controlled and programmed with your cell phone.
LED Lights: amzn.to/32F1rdm
Here’s the extra equipment that comes in handy:
#3: A high power lithium power pack so the TV doesn’t need to be plugged into the wall.
amzn.to/2T8A4Fk
#4: A mini lithium battery pack for the 12V LEDs.
amzn.to/2uFgFlO
#5: An extra long 2-prong TV cord just in case you happen to be near an outlet. Gaffer tape to help keep it attached to the carpet and to prevent tripping.
amzn.to/2vjGto6
#6. Extra 12V LED light strip with white LED’s in case your clients prefers it to the color chasing effect.
amzn.to/2uFgFlO
#7: A decorative picture frame.

Here’s a few more pro tips for you:
Place any television behind it, ranging from 32 to 65". Simply place your camera behind the glass on it's own tripod.
Each piece is Lightweight--frame, glass and touch overlay easily placed together. We can customize the frame to any style you would like [hold gold colored corner sample against edge, showing what it would look like]
Because the mirror is full scale, it doesn't not need to lean a lot for people to see their full
reflection in it, but if this is not your style, you also have the option to wall mount it, or use a flight case.

I just really love your delivery. Very bubbly and cheerful and not monotone at all. I've been wanting to make a smart mirror for my wall but the coding part makes it overwhelming.

Hey Love the video. Can you give me info on where to purchase a mount for my DSLR camera vertical and or horizontal

Sure! Actually, we simply use a tripod behind the mirror to hold the DSLR. There are other mounts which would be more secure, in case it's bumped.

There are a few solutions for photo booths that work great! Darkroom Booth 3 is the best for sure as it is the least buggy and used most often by photo booth businesses.
