Magic Boards Don't Come Around Often | Chilli Volume II Joyride

Спорт

Sometimes new boards take a little getting used to, other times you click with them immediately. Our experience on the Chilli Volume II was certainly the latter.

Is it just me or do Chillis seem to have an extra 1 liter of volume? Noticed you went a liter less than normal. Love my Chilli churro, volume 2 is next!

Damn. Most QS event waves must suck if they’re that much worse than what you surfed the first session. The waves looked fun but the differences between both days didn’t seem significantly different size wise. Yeah the first day was barreling but it was still 2-3ft. It was glasssy but I think that board was made for waves like you rode the first day.

Nice review, but wtf is with the Amavara ad in the middle? This a $25 tinted zinc oxide. No one sells "pure zinc" Michael. Cheap over the counter 20% zinc oxide is $4 at Rite Aid. Yes, it's white, but it's cheap af and works amazingly well!

I dont care how good the board is if it looks like that after only one session then it's useless! Us 'average Joes' aren't pros and don't get given a new board every other week!!!

Pate Futch indeed, but the hobbit explains that the one he has, only has 1 layers of 4oz cloth. My point is that even with 2, my experience is much of the same, which is weird because i believe they’re made in the same factory as Pyzel in Australia, but the results are very different in my admittedly limited test cohort (I had a black vulture and Fader, and a Gremlin and Phantom)

Waxfoot being made at The Glass Lab on the Gold Coast like Pyzels is a fairly new thing - maybe mid 2019. These new boards made out of The Glass Lab are amazing! Chilli’s boards are great, but The Glass Lab are putting out some of the highest quality boards in Australia!

The Mr. Rock is such good sunscreen and u will never get burnt with it on. However, IT IS LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO GET OFF UR FACE ITS SO ANNOYING!!!!

Applying a liquid base first actually helps with this because the Mr. Rock isn't being applied directly to your skin. Kind of a win-win.

I wasn't going to say anything, but in the interest of human empathy, at 4:34 you say 'tail cancer'... I have never heard this term used before, normally I just say 'tail cracking'. But it seems many things are being trivialised these days, not sure why, maybe because humans are desensitised to everything these days. For anyone who has either been directly or indirectly affected by someone with cancer, the use of this phrase just won't sit right with them, it doesn't for me anyway. I'm not pointing the finger at anyone, it's just something I noticed and wish as humans we could address things properly without trivialising life altering/ending events.
