Magar is my favourite deck out of my 3 atm (Hazezon Tamar, Ertai the Corrupted, and Magar). Slapping people w/ Curse of the Cabal or Call Forth The Tempest is just a good time lol

Just finished building Eris so this was a fantastic upload! It looks like so much fun to play.

This game just cements me into playing Eris. I was looking into getting back into spellslinger that wasn’t just Storm and she seems perfect.

She certainly can pop off but you don't have to go super stormy. In fact, you can just build her as a cantrip tokens decks or just a cast two spells a turn deck. She cares about instants and sorceries for her cost reduction and prowess but making a token just cares that you cast second spell regardless of card type. This opens up options for Shrieking Drake, Cloudstone Curio, and other cards that return to hand.

Awesome game. I just built Eris and was searching up some gameplay videos before I take mine out this Friday. I don't know what it is about wanting to see a commander you just built around be played on screen lol can't wait to see how mine performs

Ok so I was gonna build Stella but I was having second thoughts because I really don’t care for storm decks and I didn’t want every single game to be me digging for infinite combos…but I have changed my mind and am going to do Eris instead I think. That seemed very powerful and also very fun!

These were my thoughts exactly. I wanted to see how the Quick Draw precon would turn out but when I realised how easy it is to go infinite with Stella Lee, I was less interested. Finally seeing Eris in action, it reads as I expected. A much more casually spell slinger game plan, which is more up my alley 🙂

@@DaKareerKilla Exactly. I mean don't get me wrong, i like including an infinite or 2 in some of my decks because sometimes you just HAVE to have a plan like that in order to win, but i don't want it to be THE plan for this, i want to throw spells around and make tokens and burn the shit out of people and copy things, not just infinite off on turn 4 every other game. I've got to take a closer look at this list, but i'm feeling things like Shark Typhoon and Chrome Host as well as a plan B would be a lot of fun. Who doesn't like turning sharks sideways lol.

@anthonybalista7421 the only annoying thing about Shark Typhoon is they only included 1 Shark token in the precon. Like that's good and all, but what happens when you make your second Shark with a different mana value spell? Whereas you look at past precons, like Veloci-Ramptor that had 20 of the same Dinosaur token. Make it make sense 😅

@@DaKareerKilla as bad as hasbro and wizards are as far as trying to ruin this game as a whole, they have definitely gotten better with including things you NEED for things you buy now lol.

Very confused with Shelby's focus on the Magar deck. It almost did a thing, got shut down, and didn't recover.

Magar gets out of hand very quickly, like 1 turn magar is doing nothing, the next turn you've been Ruination'd and Breach the Multiverse'd now the game is nigh unplayable. Still my fav deck, worth the hate

As someone who is a huge fan of Unfinity. Huge respect playing Magar. A lot of people overlook the set but it’s packed with so much fire!

My friend has this deck and it seems to have the most success with sacrificing big powered creatures that are cheap to play, usually using Ziatora as a payoff/finisher instead of the engine/removal.

Does Shelby hate Sam? 😅 He swung 14 damage at the guy doing the least Ethan and Cayden were wide open and way more optimal targets lol

Only partially 😂 some deals were made that meant Shelby couldnt attack unless it was at me. Not the best deals, but Shelbys a man of his word

The threat assessment after the first removal of Breach was way off. Poor Magar deck had nothing going on and was still getting hammered while izzet just sat pretty with a study out. Needs to be a rematch

As a Magar player it always makes my eye twitch that people always seem to ignore the specific part of his ability that says the spells etb FACE DOWN as 3/3s. Legit blows my mind.

Why does this change anything? Its known information which card was targetted to turn face down so its much easier to keep the card face up anyways. Don’t tell me you keep these face down and force your pod to memorize which creature is which…?

​@jimlonald4917 forced memorization doesn't even work either because youre instructed to note the name of the card, youre obligated to tell your opps if they ask "whats the noted name." This guys a madman for sure lol
