Giulia was born in one of the poorest neighborhoods in the Napoli city center. This area is ruled by the Giuliano family, a powerful and violent clan. In the '80s, drug dealing and the Camorra wars made the city one of the most violent and dangerous of the entire province. Giulia was used to death in the street. When she is a young woman she meets Mario, and starts a love story that very soon evolves into a nightmare. Mario's addictions and drug dealing transform him into an increasingly violent abuser. To protect herself and her children, Giulia shoots him in the leg, but the scandal spreads.
