I definitely still prefer the look of the comic paint version or the reissue version to this. The problem is that the colors on this new one harken back to the Romita Jr. or even Ditko eras, whereas the overall style of the figure still looks like Bagley or McFarlane. It creates an incongruity. If they wanted to give us a truly classic Spidey, they should've given this release a new headsculpt with smaller eyes, along with the lighter blue. Great review, yours is the only one I've seen which shows a comparison between all four paint variations. Btw, I definitely prefer the camera light on.

@@DCSG81 I skipped the reissue because the blue was too shiny and the wrong shade to be the 90's. This new one matches up pretty well to the Marvel Vs Capcom game, which had a 90's Spidey in classic colors.

Nice details on this figure!. As far as the lights go- the bright light is a bit too bright, but the other light is kind of darkish. ( if that makes sense) . Maybe something in between is best?. You know, to be honest I’ve never liked dipping my figures in water, I prefer the hairdryer method. This is a decent looking figure, nice paint job. Thanks for sharing. Turn the light on and keep it on... Put a filter on it though (a sheet of paper will do). Do the same thing that you would do for an ACBA photoshoot.

Lights on. The figure pops from the background. Some suggestions could be playing with your exposure and white balance. A defuser could help with the harshness, but definitely light on.

Thank you for this review. Honestly, I only have a bootleg of the 075 and planned on getting this one. You just confirmed that I really want it. I know it's accurate to actually nothing (or perhaps the start of the Ultimate Spider-Man comics, I don't know) but I like its coloring. The metal paint threw me off which is why I skipped on getting the 075 one. Now I kinda regret it. In the best of world, you would get a 075 version and the Classic Costume version.

@@DCSG81 I got it, after getting the Black Spidey. I don't regret it, I think the Marvel Legends and Mafex figures are going well together. I kept my bootleg for spare parts, we never know.

The eyes not áre the same of the Classic head. Mafex maked the same head in all yours Spiderman, type Mc Farlaine. This is a bad decision. The rest of the figure is beautiful. Grettings My Dear friend.
