Have you ever thought about stacking your splashes and see what that makes?

Awesome job man 🔥🔥🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🔥🔥 can you explain the hi hat pattern you use from 0:39 to 0:46 I’ve seen you use in the Mt Zion video with Vashawn Mitchell I personally think it’s one of the best grooves for a shout it fits so well with the music

Thanks fam!!! That hat pattern is actually something I picked up from George "Spanky" McCurdy. You can hear him playing that same pattern on Tye Tribbett's "Still Have Joy", during the verses. I sort of adopted it and made it mine! It's hard to explain with words, but it's basically a play off of eighth notes and sixteenth notes-while using dynamics to emphasize certain strokes. Maybe I'll do a video covering that groove in some upcoming lessons! Great question!
