Just a heads up that the artisit "Quasimoto" that appears on a few of the songs on this album is actually madlibs rapping alter ego. His album "The Unseen" is an absolute classic and worth a listen, some of madlibs best production combined with an absolutely amazing rap style and personality from him. You'd definitely find it an interesting listen since you seem to like his production style.

THIS was a proper reaction video. Thank you, keep on doing your shit! Consider reacting to Madlib's Quasimoto-adventures! The guest on America's Most Blunted; lead on Shadows of Tomorrow. It's Madlib's voice, but he didn't like his own voice, so he changed the pitch. And about Tarantino: Freddie Gibbs has actually named his flow The Tarantino Flow the last couple of years. Was perfected on Bandana.

Before I talk about this album, I loved the message at the end of the vid and agree 100%, love the earnest nature of these reactions and you as a person. I grew up with rap but was never that heavily invested in music in general. When I was 18 I really delved into music deeply, hip-hop especially, and a couple years later I decided to listen to this masterpiece, and it just solidifed why this is the kind of music I will always come back to, always feel some comfort in. I have probably heard it over 100 times in the past several years and I will still find new things to appreciate. Your reaction is still my reaction sometimes as the density of the bars and rhyme schemes is absurd, especially given I have written a lot of raps and poems so it puts into perspective the next level he was on during this time period. There's a reason he is the quintessential "your favourite rapper's favourite rapper." Would love to hear your thoughts on it down the line when you've listened to it more and had time to ruminate, it deserves it.

So happy you did this for your 50K Special! One of my favourite albums of all time. My favourite tracks would be Meat Grinder, America's Most Blunted, Curls, Strange Ways, Fancy Clown, Eye, Great Day, to name a few lol. I first listened to MF DOOM when I was 17 or 18 (4 years ago), mostly heard of him as "Your favourite rapper's favourite rapper." I was listening to Earl and got into DOOM through his Wiki page. You can definitely hear the DOOM influence on early Earl tracks from his EARL mixtape and Doris. MF DOOM has a pretty untouchable discography, I'd compare it to Kanye for how they both have no bad albums. Also both fantastic producers and you'll see that if you venture more into his solo albums like Mm. Food, Operation Doomsday, Born Like This. I would love it if you did the albums weekly or biweekly and just let them marinate in between. You also have to get into the different alias' that he has like: King Geedorah which is a 3 headed dragon monster from the Kaiju genre of movies in Japan like Godzilla. He produces all but one song on the album, which is Take Me to Your Leader. Doesn't rap on all of them but all the features are solid. Definitely an essential album. Viktor Vaughn is another alias which is DOOM as a younger street tough, not at the supervillain level of DOOM. The track Fancy Clown is Viktor calling out his girl for cheating on him with DOOM. Both Viktor Vaughn albums, Vaudeville Villain and Venomous Villain, are produced by other people but still must-listens. Also can't forget DANGERDOOM, which is MF DOOM on the mic and Danger Mouse on the beats. The album is called The Mouse and the Mask, and it's a trip into the Adult Swim universe circa 2004. Lots of references and samples from Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Harvey Birdman, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, etc. Definitely more of a stoner album but still great sober lol. This was hella long i apologize, have a great rest of your day, night, or whenever.

I never really comment on anything for whatever reason but this album has been such a big part of my life for so long and I have been legitimately watching you since around about your first month of rock reacts. This has been one I have been looking out for and I remember how disappointed I was to see you and Simon, in my eyes, react so negatively to Accordion, but this was the redemption that it needed. I hope you venture down the MF DOOM route cause his insane out put during the mid 2000's is, in my opinion, a staple of hip hop history. On a side note I know how important watch time on youtube is and with out a doubt, I'VE MADE IT! with damn near every video you've put up. Honestly there aren't enough nice things I can say about your content, except for that Jon Denton, Anthony Fantano, Shawn Cee & Adam22 have some of the best music related videos on this platform and with every new release I am on the edge of my seat waiting for that review. I love your speech about language towards the end and I couldn't help but to think of the song "Fumes" by Aesop Rock, he's another lyrical behemoth who studied MF DOOM to create his own style that's just as legendary imo. Aes' discography is enormous and varied in sound, his older stuff being more cryptic and dense while his newer stuff is purposefully less cryptic but really just as dense. He also has produced a lot of his own beats and for many others.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan GREAT REACTION!! I love MF DOOM. But first time u hear him, is too mach for the brain. The most lyrical, exhausting. If u hear another great lyrical MC, u think "give me more!!". But when u hear MF DOOM, u think "wow, hold on, I gotta back to the begginin' and take my time". That's too much for the brain. So u can act like u understand everithing this firs time, and like u're enjoying that (nobody would believe it), or act honestly, like u did, despite u can't bring us the coolest reaction. U did the only thing that an honest guy can do: flip, but say "that's too much, man, I admit that my brain can't handle that this very first time". U did the right thing, man, I love your honesty.

The moment I realised I loved this record was during Fancy Clown. During the first verse you get a story of a man who was cheated upon by his girlfriend who is asking him for forgiveness. Most people would react from the perspective they are given which is Doom's and so you sympathise with him admonishing her. As the song goes on though, Doom subtly calls you a fool for trusting the unreliable narrator that he is. You find out that he was the source of the infidelity in the relationship and he's not even sorry, he's bragging. He not only makes a point about jumping to conclusions about relationship issues, but reminds you that he is a VILLAIN. Then the rest of the album just knocked me down with its incredible run to the end.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Definitely my favourite from the album.
