Urad dal 1 handful

Byadgi chillies 100 grams
Jeera 1 handful
Curry leaves few
Turmeric powder little
For preparing the NUGGEEKAYI BELE SAMBAR
TOOR DAL 250 grams
Baby Onions 100 grams
Nugge Kayi or Drumsticks 250 grams
Tamarind syrup as per taste
Jaggery 1 small piece
Salt to taste
Tomato cut 4
Grated coconut half
For Oggarane or Seasoning
Curry leaves few
Mustard 1 Ts

Sir, sambar is Maharashtra item. It was introduced by maharaj samboji Rao, to tamilnadu. They kept his name as sambar.
