This is a brilliant concert with all the four great vidwans contributing to it. I attended this concert which was held in Odukkathur Mutt. There is an interesting story behind this concert. This was the concert where TNS and Palghat Raghu Sir were to share the stage after a very long gap. So there was great expectation from the organisers as well the rasikas who thronged the hall in large numbers well before the concert. But the flight of TNS from Bombay or Pune was badly delayed. Hence the organisers announced everybody to go home and come by 8.30 and the concert will start by 9 PM only. Since my house was far away, I stayed there itself. TNS was frisked right from Airport onto the stage. the concert started by 9 PM and what a concert it was. Brilliant concert with his velvetty voice and sparkling brighas and riding manodharmam. The concert went upto 12 midnight. I came there at 5 PM and left at 12 midnight. But it was worth the waiting. I only collected the recording and shared among many of my friends those days.

@@JayramSataluri Only in 1981. Swati Tirunal Festival organised by AIR, TVM in Hassan Marikar Hall, TVM. An unforgettable concert widely in circulation now. TNS-Lalgudi-Karaikudi Mani. The main song was Sarasijanabha murare.

Wonderful!!!! thanks a ton for the upload. These are rare happenings. TNS with Raghu Sir combination is rare. Similar combination - along with G Harisankar Ganjira - Kharaharapriya (Pakkala) is one such piece. Thanks again for the upload!!!!

Madhuvanthi starts with Narajanma Bandage. Outstanding concert. No further comments. In the ragamaligai, I couldn’t make out the initial 2 ragas. Mohanam, Kamas, Sindubhairavi. Sindubhairavi beyond imagination.

Though I did not get the chance to meet Sri Ramakrishnan Iyer when he was alive, I believe he was indeed the same CRama who posted numerous articles and reviews. Did you know him, sir? May he enjoy the divine music up there!

I know him very well. He is a Rasika of TNS in every word. Had sound knowledge of music. In a concert conducted by Mr.R.T.Chari for Raga identification, he was the top scorer. To my mind, he knows nothing but music. He had such a collection of live concerts that no one else had. He passed away last year when I was in USA. I was privileged to have his attendance at my son’s marriage held at Salem in August 2018.
