Here's a fine amalgam of alapana, krithi rendition and swaras: simply mind-blowing. The way TNS Anna essays Bindumalini is extraordinary - the nuances he brings out with such ease and grace are blink-and-miss kind of stuff! The only challenge we rasikas face is this: after alapana, we feel like listening again and again; similarly krithi and so with the swara rendition. So, to move from one part to another is a mighty challenge, at least for a rasika like me. As a result, listening to the full package itself takes easily about a week. More than the musicality, creativity and other intricacies, I marvel at Anna's personality: the kind of efforts and time he must have invested in! To paint a breath-taking picture of Bindumalini like this in about 8 minutes stands as tall testimony to TNS Anna's spirit as a creative musician - not only constantly pushing the limits for self but also for the art one pursues with leopard like tenacity. humble Pranaams, what else to say?!

True as I read one of the comments Bindumalini meansFlute Sri N .Ramani or mandolin U . Srinivas first comes to the Rasikas. Here Sri T.N. Seshagopalan's has surpassed and the Alapanai was exquisitely beautiful and Excellant. Equally Sri Narayanan's Mridangam and Sri Chandramouli's violin is rhythmically excellant.

🙏 For rasikas like us, this style of singing is stunning. But the human vocal chords are not developed to take such a strain for extended periods. Many such fine artists who practiced this style of singing lost their voice early. Hariharan and Ghulam Ali are examples of this stunning but dangerously strenuous singing. Sheshagopalan sir was not specially compensated by rasikas for this stunning performances during his prak days. We rasikas just move on with new content, but what saddens me is the fact that these stunning musicians with so much imagination that must still be running in their minds but not being able to express it now. We rasikas just leave them behind and move on to new talents. It is not expensive to clap, praise and comment. Artists like him should be very careful with their assets.

Bindumalini is not a raga amenable for too much detailing, because the sancharas will keep repeating, however smart a singer is. While Seshagopalan, through his brilliance, did it elaborately in his alapana, the question is : did it add to more listening pleasure? In Swaraprastara too, Seshagopalan's technical brilliance was visible, but did it not get stretched too far, too long and ended up in boredom?
