You can tell the same thing about Michael jackson.

Madonna has never been the strongest vocalist but she knows her capabilities and plays to them. This was an excellent performance and very ahead of its time. Set the pace for performance art, even today

someday i'm going to miss this woman very much! the whole music industry is going to miss her, and i'm so glad that she did so many interesting things through all this decades that i can always enjoy it! madonna is truly one of a kind. true artist. true performer. so unique and amazingly talented human being.

The greatest selling female musical recording artists in history. Still 🙌

Even at that time they criticized her vocals but to me her voice pre-Evita lessons was pure gold, the way she sang at the Blonde Ambition Tour was fantastic to me. Her voice has such a distinct interpretative factor that some more powerful vocalists lack. This is one of my favorite performances of all time, I wish she had sounded like this at the Eurovision the other night but unfortunately nothing lasts forever and even Madonna can't be as good as she used to be during her prime.

Hamzeh Alturk I have watched this probably 50K times in my lifetime and every time I either cry or fall into a daze. My dad says I study it when I’m watching it. I transport myself to a different planet. It’s unhealthy.

Damn - what a PERFORMANCE! What a song, what an arrengment, what a bass line! It's almost unreal. Great art.

Madonna isn't often described as "classy" but performances like this absolutely shows her class as an artist. This, and "La Isla Bonita" from the Girlie Tour, for me, are just so tasteful and brilliant, and yes, pure class.

Such POWER, such ENERGY, is unreal for human bodies!

Such a perfect performance in every way. Especially the double chorus after "let the choir song." The way they moved is just unbelievably good. And the "just like a muse to me, you are a mystery," she doesn't miss a beat with the soulful backing vocals happening behind her. I wore the VHS out back in the day, and now am watching it multiple times daily again. I've seen footage of many other performances of this song from this tour, and this one is by far the best, so polished. I really do hope it makes it to BluRay eventually.

This song is in a different league. It sends chills up and down my spine, I can't hold the tears even while I'm listening to the gospel choir in the intro. It's a mystical incredible powerful song and Madonna is obviously a genius.

I saw the Blond Ambition tour in Michigan, only she had a ponytail. Her father was in the audience. She brought her father on stage for his birthday. The Detroit Pistons were playing so they had to bump the concert. It was at the Palace at Auburn Hills. I have the original program.

I think this is the best Like A Prayer live performance of the blonde ambition tour .. a lot of the group shuffling thing and music remix is unique to this one performance which did not appear in her other shows ..

There’s something in this performance. You can see it in the atmosphere. I don’t know what she did but she did something. 💫

Every modern pop concert owes a debt to Madonna and the Blond Ambition tour. This set the visual standard for all future live shows.

The amount of energy she put in her performances and in that era, no wonder why she's the queen of pop.

Madonna is the queen of all tours

Simply the best. Why are all the haters saying she cannot sing? She's got a great voice and they did not have Autotune back in 1990. The Blond Ambition Tour remains the greatest concert tour that ever took place. No one has topped that.

Y'all should check her solo singles with German dancegroup Snap! She had two big hits in Europe with them with Exterminate and Do You See The Light in 1993. Very cool songs. She also did great performances of them on TOTP, she definitely learned from MAdonna when it came to stage presence, it was rare to have vocalists of dance projects to have that much of a stage presence and personality on stage. She's really great.

Love the celebration of religious ecstasy in throughout this choreo, and especially when Madonna is down on the floor at the beginning and end, just losing it in those gorgeously spasmodic body movements...she was the definition of FIERCE. Num mercado de homens onde nem Internet tinha pra fazer dancinha idiota e bombar, ela sempre foi e sempre será a pioneira. Ela atuou na história da música com um talento impecável. Ela fez de si um ícone equiparável ao Michael Jackson. Uma rainha do pop. As letras dela costumavam ser gostosas de se ouvir... são magníficas, Live to tell é uma obra prima pra mim. Temos ícones que esquecemos pq é "cringe" gostar de música antiga. Mas mulheres como Madonna, Cindy Lauper, Celine Dion, Bonnie Tyler, tem um imenso valor na música. E todas as outras que vieram depois, melhores ou piores, já receberam tudo quase que de mão beijada. Madonna incluiu uma mulher na história da música em todos os sentidos.

An amazing performance. Madonna takes a basic hit single and turns it into a theatrical experience...There`s so much going on in those (near) eight minutes: music/singing, dancing, drama, costume, lighting, and stage design. I particularly liked the section between about 6:15 and 7:05 when the whole presentation comes together in one glorious and rousing finale; profundity wrapped up in an energetic and highly entertaining show.

TRAILBLAZERRRRRRRR. African dance. Gospel. Alllllll of it. Say whatev now. She SAVED us. Plus no lip synch. RAW TALENT

wow this brings back awesome memories. she was (and still is) in seriously awesome shape. dancing like she's possessed and still singing live. madonna may not be the best female "singer" but she is by far the best entertainer ever! one of a kind; just like MJ for the men.
