The MDNA Tour show went through darkness to get to light,but this show went in the opposite direction. It started light and then got dark to finish it off. I think this performance and the preceding performance were amazing and still feel the same. I definitely think it was done in a sarcastic,performance artist tone rather than take the song as its literal meaning,which some people don't seem to realize. Everything Madonna does is done for a reason.

She's BEATIFUL on her own way and I am not only speaking physically which she was of course more when she was younger but she is even more beautiful as time goes by because beauty is not only what you see outside but what you perception the others give you from inside and on this Madonna is the most beatiful person in the world and History because she is such a beatiful soul and human being inside. For any reason singers like Whitney, Mariah, Janet, Britney, Beyonce, Rihanna that stood for her great voices or style/beauty comparing to Madonna never accomplished what Madonna is and done (and I'm not saying I don't like those artists) because she has that "It" factor, a "je ne sais quoi", a MAGIC MYSTERY that no one can explain but that's why she is a MYTHICAL (LIVING) LEGEND in HISTORY. Okay - hmmm ... I didn’t love her tonality or dynamics in her voice. I guess I was looking for more of that - where there crescendo and de-crescendo, pauses, even partly spoken words. I dunno. Maybe I have too much Jane Birkin in my head. It was still a commendable performance and she definitely made it her own. I’m glad you enjoyed it. ☺️

Mixed feelings here; I've always felt this was the slimiest of "love" songs, suggesting a predatory relationship. BUT it's pretty cool for Madonna to perform a well-known French song, considering it's Paris .... and being Madonna, she's not about to be victim to anyone. So the switch in power is laudable, and more than valid. But then comes the conclusion -- the ultimate negative. In walking away, she doesn't even give us her part in it, just leaves us with the corpse. Yeah, it's edgy. Performance art, even. But it's not resolution; it's just angry.
