Production is so clearly between True Blue and Like A Prayer

I don’t understand how she hasn’t released an album of unreleased songs. There so many good songs that people need to hear.

This song has the remnants, sound and feel of the Who's That Girl to You Can Dance era...maybe very early in the Like A Prayer process.

She needs to re release a remastered version of this album with a bunch of extras

Absolutely love! Some of Madonna's best material remains unreleased. She should do a compilation of all unreleased material and demos.

I made 3 full CD's of unreleased trax and added a couple demo cuts and non album hits to total 56 songs. Probably 45 are actual unreleased songs unheard unless you troll Utube to find them. Songs like History and Cyberraga and Ain't No Big Deal aren't really unreleased but sort of unheard by regular fans. Same with Get Stupid and Sorry Remix that I threw on the CDs. 'New' songs to most people.

It's truly amazing how many of her early demos features melodies, themes, and vocals that would later become what we now regard as quintessential Madonna sound. She truly always had it!

RELEASE ALL THESE DEMOS with no added auto tune or production I love Madonnas natural voice so much

@@Mania28 of course not. Music was a great album in 2000 the song music was her last numer 1 in the billboard chart. Confessions on a dance floor was a great album and tour in 2006. Sticky and sweet tour in 2009 was the tour making the most money for a female artist. And the legend is there. She's still alive and she's amazing.

She's reluctant to work with Pat again because choosing William Orbit to produce Ray of Light instead of Pat after he'd already co-written some of it's songs with her put a rift in their working relationship.

@@sergioampv1640 that's really an interesting question, i think she still would be successful but the general public would have a different perception about her. Her singing lessons are part of her evolution as an artist and that's the reason of her longevity also.

She indeed cares about selling, otherwise she would NOT have released a reggaeton/trap-tinged single with one of the hottest latino stars around (Maluma) and another single with current rap fave Swae Lee. The problem is that, in light of Madame X flopping and those two singles flopping too, now her fans claim that she only cares about "art." Such bullshit.

She doesn't like looking back or reliving the past, even though an album of unreleased songs would reinvigorate her career. Kinda short sighted of her if you ask me.

She had such a beautiful face and voice.

I’m so in love with this gem. One of her best vocal performances ever!!! Raw and unpolished. I miss this Madonna. Miss her a lot. I’m surprised it wasn’t a B-Side. I definitely would have made it one.

She and Patrick Leonard need to collaborate again

My first thought as well, it's actually very close sounding to Supernatural. I suspect that may be why it didn't make the album and why Supernatural was relegated to being a b-side - too close to Who's that Girl/True Blue and not close enough to the sound of Like a Prayer.

Good on Pat Leonard releasing these LAP demos for free for fans to enjoy. One of her old house keepers from this time had been given a cassette by M of the demos and some finished tracks for the album that would become LAP. M wanted her house keeper to listen to the tape when she was driving around and then tell her what songs she liked best and what songs she found herself remembering and singing along with. The house keeper had put her cassette in an auction and she was going to have rich fans out bidding each other to hear these unreleased songs but Pat said that the fans should hear them for free! ❤❤🎉🎉
