Madonna achieved her success WITHOUT social media...she was super intelligent regarding self promoting, Taylor has the advantage of social media and one huge difference: everyone on earth knew Madonna's songs, I couldn't tell you one Swift song...full disclaimer: I'm 65, was in LA and attended Whose That Girl concert, bought the white tee shirt with the the eyes.

I saw this tour in London.. Awesome.. I was 17 and couldn't believe I was watching Madonna. Seen every tour since!

Went to this concert when I was 13 in Nice France dressed like every self proclaimed Madonna fan. At that age You think time could actually stand still. I wish it couldve and had..

She is one if those rare singers that can pronounce each words in the lyrics clearly in her singing...gotta luv her!!!

...well for me as a sound guy its obvious that here she made use of a playback of her singing; very likely recorded at one of the rehearsals days before the concert. She was always a Pro and reaching for perfection; singing + dancing in the live concert situation was not possible both as good, especially not over a time of 60 or 90 minutes with performing x tracks

I remember her saying she took singing lessons when it looked like her career was going in that direction, cuz she really wanted to be professional dancer..

So lucky to have her perform during our life time. They'll never be another Madonna

I'm not a Madonna "fan" although I quite like her. This clip is absolutely one of her best. It's essentially like the best of rock tradition spectacle-loud, live and big. Only the Rolling Stones and certain other acts have ever been able to do it. Madonna did it within her own genre of pop. No one will equal it.

Before concert that day at 3 p.m in this stadium was a game soccer play Juventus..and after that game they made a scene rady for the concert about 3 hours working hard!!..amazing for everyone this beautiful concert of Madonna!!

My first concert also, was right at the front getting crushed but was a truly awesome to see Madonna I was only 17.

Greatest concert ever. In Italy it has been the biggest and most anticipated single event of the 80's.

Madonna is a magnificent performer. She captivates and draws you in like no other can.

i was there in Florence ,at one of the 2 concerts she gave to us in Italy .... and it still brings tears to my eyes to hear ,how much the crowd screams when just the shadow of her appears on the stage ...they literally carried her to the front stage with their voices and embraced her with unconditional Love ....in the 80s we were all more simple people ..and Madonna was Huge ! an absolut phenomenon ,imitated by girls ,loved by men and admired by everybody

Madonna in her prime, like in this video, was without a doubt one of the top performers in the world. She worked her ass off, REALLY sang, no lip sync, had amazing choreography, was in Olympian shape physically, had the top musicians in the world in her band, REALLY playing. People who like to talk smack on her, need to show some respect. This lady is the real deal.

I've always thought that the combination of Madonna with Nicki Harris and Donna DeLory was the best in terms of both increasing the depth and sweetness of her voice when performing live. The fact that they kept it together for 3 subsequent tours shows that clearly Madonna thought so too.

Tina Turner was not the first as the Rock In Rio performance doesn't count. Madonna was the first one to do so for an entire tour. The Who's That Girl Tour was so huge they HAD to play stadiums otherwise she'll be playing consecutive sell out shows at, for instance, Madison Square Garden for five nights. The same thing happened with the Virgin Tour. It started with 2,000-3,000 seat theaters, but later in the tour they had to move to larger 15,000+ seat arenas.

I got to see her last week in Vegas! I grew up as a kid in the 80s listening to her it was so beyond incredible I got to see her perform her greatest hits on the Celebration tour! Dream come true! She hasn't slowed down! She put on a freaking 2 hour show singing live and dancing!!!! Best concert ever!!! Queen of Pop!

OUTstanding... That energy and passion-WOW... I have a new appreciation for this tour/show, I think it just may be her very best, right next to Blond Ambition...

This woman paved the way for Spears, Aguilera, Gaga, the list goes on. This woman, with a true LIVE voice paved the way. Way before lip syncing was as popular as it is today. The other pop stars can sing live pretty well, "especially Aguilera" but they lip sync much more often. Madonna is still the queen of pop! The funny thing is, I'm mostly a metal fan. But madonna deserves her respect. Such a beautiful voice!

Madonna does not have a great voice like Withney Houston or Celine Dion but she is a show woman. Certainly she sang and danced live the whole concert. In the 70's,80's and 90's you really needed to prove you sang . Madonna did it, i agree Madonna is the one, who opened the borders in the pop music for all of them, we know Cher was before Madonna. But Madonna went above and beyond, she. Today we have Britney Spears Christina Aguilera, Gaga, Jlo, Arianna Grande, Miley Cyrus. I can say that the only ones , who sing live Christina Aguilera and Gaga. The rest playback . Christina Aguilera was blessed with an amazing voice. But no one of them have been able to overcome Madonna. Madonna is still the Queen : )

GAGA totally copied Madonnas voice. In these live performances you can hear how Lady gaga tries to attempt madonnas voice. It's so annoying.

Virgin tour my favorite she sings the best in that one, this tour is a total transformation her body is epic- perfect muscular, i like this look on her so much but this and Virgin Tour are my all time favorites, prior to Virgin tour shed been singing in Nightclubs for over 7 years so her voice was on point& these arr different songs too she looks so good natural& here built too! I guess no matter what, she ALWAYS LOOKS GOOD BUT THESE FIRST 2 tours are imo the best, the makeup the everything most of all the fame was brand new she really looks HAPPY& that always shines thru to this date...
