Disgusting to see so many negative comments. The accompanying artists are not idiots. Varadu, Vaidhyanathan and Dr Karthik are seasoned artists and have accompanied Sid Sriram many times. His voice is very husky and unique. Get used to it.

எல்லாம் வைத்தெரிச்சல் bro... Jus becuz of his fame in cine music .. such an open voice.. high calibre.. a rare gem.. I'm learning music and I know what I'm talking about.. these negative comments are just to demotivate him and make him feel bad about.. no doubt there are flaws.. but who doesn't..? Many hide it.. but this guy shows even that openly by his facial expressions.. not his fault.. these people who comment negatively cannot digest the fact that he has so much fame out side Carnatic world.. but all these will not stop him as he has knowledge & command over the subject.. it will come out and will always continue to shine like a star in the sky..

Sid Good, keep it up; don't get distracted. Your Mom is there to guide you. Need to embrace, Bhava, Mood , meaning and context- which will happen as you evolve into a matured Artist. In the Mukhari it is "Ondrukkum Anjatha" and not "Mondrukkum Anjatha" similar small slips are there; but you would correct them. Best wishes..

Bhartru hari subhashita is crucial to be followed: Vaak bhushaham bhushanam, nothing else. The words, phrases, sentences we use in our construction should not hurt any one's feelings. Help ever, hurt never. Kindly let us have restraint on our words. And all of our actions have the corresponding Karma phala. We may have enjoyed momentarily hurting, knowingly or unknowingly. But every action has a karma phala. This is only a humble suggestion.

@Shreyas Kuchibhotla But he has the voice which makes us listen again and again. One phrase of Vasantha or one upper shadjam in panthuvarali is enough when Sid sings. Better than 20 min alapanai of younger peers who have given a medley of Ariyakudi till TMK in theirs. His is original, different, perfect Nadham in voice, see all big accompanists throng him to play with him. Its not hollow but wholesome music. I just listen to his music and don't look at him when he sings, like he has swollowed Nadhaswaram and Shehnai - Weighty yet melodious. He is like Madurai Somu, most popular with rasikas with the best voice and nadham but unpopular with people who call themselves purists.

Unwanted criticism only brings down the morale of an artist. Believe me, every true artist, would identify his/her mistakes the moment they commit and will work on them. @Shreyas Kuchibhotla unfortunately took the time to listen to some of your Carnatic renditions. not only did it seem completely lacking in life, but voice was also as weak as an ant. sad state affairs when folks like yourself comment on Carnatic music as if you are experts. Even more sad state affairs when many will take what you say because you claim to listen to Carnatic giants. Any one that takes a small peak behind the curtain and listens to your music would let out a guffaw and then continue to listen to the vibrant music of Sid. God bless you buddy

I am a huge fan of one of those people... Maybe you can guess. TMK may have been Chennai's super star at one point, but now he is anything but 😂 All I was trying to say is I find the double standard very disturbing in the cm space. Certain artists are immune to criticism, whereas people feel very free to criticize other artists as they deem fit. If you look at Arkay Convention Centre's last 100 concerts, I doubt you will find any with a comment section this negative. Is this because this was the worst concert in the last 100 on this channel? In my opinion, not so
