worth considering the difference in your reactions between the two…if you find yourself hating one side and smiling for the other means you may be contributing to the sentiments expressed in the song.

The sad part about this video is that they didn't complain about the 2nd half. The song was meant to show a stereotype of hating blacks and then a stereotype of hating whites. They caught the first half just fine, but then they stopped. What these two did was cheer on the 2nd part instead of recognizing it as racism against whites. It makes me sad.

It's funny, isn't it. In a way, I feel like that's a big part of what Joyner is actually trying to portray in this video. Both white and black people at times and in different circles view each other in some pretty nasty ways, but until we come together and get over these preconceived notions of one another the hate on both sides will continue to fester.

Yeah its a problem. A problem which i though the song did an excellent job of highlighting but obviously the people reacting to the song missed (the older guy more than the younger one as he tried to speak his mind but you could tell he didn't want to disappoint the older guy by having a different opinion). The older guy reacting to this song is everything wrong with racial relations in America. This guy is bias and hell and the typical black victim card player.

Or even worse, imagine someone hearing you speak on your own lived and learned experiences and them having the chance to maybe have their eyes opened to something they were ignorant of or learning something of substance from you. That’s the ugly part of these discussions it triggers a primal reaction to defend ourselves and the second you feel that, your useless because your brain becomes an exit only vessel, using our mouths as an ignorant blunt instrument. My grandfather, taught me when I’m about to lose my temper to write it down and then read it back to myself. You’ll be surprised to see how angry you get at your own words that you wrote down in a rage. When we are angry and defensive we are really the dumbest and ugliest versions of ourselves. What I don't agree with for this particular music video is the insinuation that only black people live in an economic "frying pan." I grew up lower income while my parents were young. My mother was attending college (first gen) and they both worked to pay her way. For the first 12 years of my life my dad juggled two jobs to keep food on our table. His hands were beat up so bad from the manual labor gig he sometimes couldn't close them. On the weekdays he slept a few hours between jobs. I remember once winter my mom wore duct tape in her shoe so she could buy me a new pair because I had grown out of mine. She paid her student loans for YEARS which meant she went "without" so we could have a lot. And they made sure to send all three of us girls to college. My dad finally went back to school for what he was really gifted to do- computer programming. He died at 45 in a car accident before he could really enjoy the fruits of his labor. We came from nothing, had nothing, and people treated us like nothing. (But it keeps us humble to remember) Fast forward to now; my husband and I own a home, and are busy raising two daughters who will, God willing, never know what the "end of a check" fear feels like. I am where I am because the sacrifices of my parents, my grandparents, my great-grandparents and so on who came here in rags as Irish immigrants and worked their way out of utter poverty so I could give my children something. I'm proud of them and their struggle... their bravery. We as Americans need to be future minded, Christ dependent, and compassionate to ALL people because we never know what their situation is. Humanity is a shared and universal experience no matter the ethnicity. I look forward to Heaven where none on this will stand between me and my global family. ❤

That hug at the end is powerful. We're so caught up in labeling each other. By hating and demonizing each other we're only driving the wedge deeper. We need unity and understanding. People see someone's skin color and automatically lumps them into one big group, which they paint with a wide brush. Things aren't black and white; there are shades of gray in there. The only people calling me racist, sexist, homophobic, etc (every buzz-word) are those that don't actually know me. They love me until they discover my views. Nobody should have to prove that they're not those hateful things (certain individuals feel the need to 24/7 on social media), the evidence speaks for itself. That shouldn't be the default.

At first some of “pops” comments started to ignite the petty defensive wish it wasn’t there part of my brain. Until his charm and personality allowed me to hear him. I love what you guys are doing here and I thank you for wisdom and knowledge you have shared with me. Keep up the good work

No matter what your skin color is NONE of us want to be stereotyped because of our skin color! 💯🙌🏼
Man Joyner is out here proving we’re not as divided as the higher ups wants us to be
What I don't agree with for this particular music video is the insinuation that only black people live in an economic "frying pan." I grew up lower income while my parents were young. ❤
You can tell pops is a good man, he went through alllllll the emotions lol!!
I had never heard this song but I watched your review cause it popped up and this song is a message that the world needs. Everyone has their own thoughts on other people instead of just sitting down and listening to
The reason that hug hits so hard is because its the most powerful thing in the world. Humanity. We are the book ends of a beautiful spectrum, us, black and white. We two sides of the same coin. If we can ever come together, there is no governing force that would be able to stop us. And they are scared of that.
Please do Joyner and Eminem- Lucky You 🔥 It really shows his rapping range. Also, should do the first Devils Work by Joyner 🔥 Oh, and he doesn't have a huge push from the industry bc he's independent.
I love how he just sits back and lets his dad speak his mind 😂❤
I like the insights your Dad gives in between the video pauses - what a a song AND MESSAGE! ✝️ 🇺🇸
The illest part of this song is that both makes sense in their arguments, both are right, and both sides makes amendment in the end. People nowadays likes to lock themselves in bubbles, when actually, we are all here to stay. Black People, White People, Asian People and every other race is here to stay. We better figure out how to live together or everyone will lose.
Coming back to that song every now and then, this time I found that reaction. I just wish the boy would have said more. Gen Z in large parts is depoliticized, which is incredibly dangerous in itself, not even mentioning the times we live in
I am a white man and I just wanna say that I call y’all my family fr y’all are the most understanding people I have ever seen I’m am in no way racist by any means and I completely understand both sides and where everyone is coming from and I just wanna say thank you to both of you for just being human being and expressing the way you feel you deserve and both of you are doing something great giving black and white children something to look up to god bless both of you and keep up the great work ❤❤

Thanks for the chance to tear up like that AGAIN feeling this shit even some odd years later!💯
