@@animetv1095 Hahahahahahahahahahaha. Are you going in blind? What kind of things do you watch with your family? Made in Abyss has intense graphic violence, disturbing scenes and some questionable fan service (it’s the only part of the show I wish wasn’t in it). Made in Abyss is not really meant for families as it deals with a lot of dark and disturbing themes and has a ton of terrible things happen to the main cast, who are 12 year olds.

@@animetv1095 Yeah Made in Abyss (despite it’s appearance) definitely isn’t the best thing to watch with your family. It’s still a fantastic show though so I do recommend watching it. After you watch the series make sure to watch Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deepsoul which is the movie sequel to the show (the other two movies are recap films), the second season is a sequel to the movie and airs in July. Definitely come back here and let me know what you think of the show! :)

Season 2 even more heart wrenching and dark. Man this show is amazing. It's pretty unforgettable. But also mildly traumatising. Still eager to see more, but it's worth the 2 year wait while they make more of the manga. 10/10 a must watch.

The music really sells it. The art style and story both leave enough to the imagination, so that you can't help but draw your own horrible conclusions. (Spoiler-ish) I feel really sad for Ozen, how she's traumatized by being caught in the middle of this gory story, and how she acts it out on her new apprentice. He deserves a happy life.

I just finished the first season, this anime is perfect!

If you haven't seen this, please give it a chance. I'm very tired of anime tropes, but this one was really fantastic and incredibly dark for the art style and opening music, which I don't feel really does it justice. If you're a fan of Junji Ito or HP Lovecraft you'll like this. If you liked Nausicaa you'll love this. If you're a scuba diver (the whole thing is honestly an allegory for scuba diving) you'll love this. Top 5 anime for sure.

I just watched this, this is one of the most beautiful animes i have EVER seen. And trust me i have seen a lot. This is instant top 5 for me, way better than that overhyped jjk or solo levelling. This is true storytelling and world building. I felt like i could watch this forever and ever.

This is what clickbait should be like. Making someone 10 episodes deep before slamming them with GREAT content

@@procrafers Now that I’m caught up through season one and Dawn of the Deep Soul: “Jesus Christ those poor kids” I’m debating if I have the fortitude to make it through another season. Also Bonedrewd is one of the contenders for the “Worst Father in Anime” award.

One of the best anime’s I have ever seen. You would not believe how crazy this gets towards the bottom.

This show gave me hard-core studio ghibli vibes, those bright colors and rounded characters lulled me into thinking that this show was a lighthearted adventure show. It is definitely not lighthearted.

Tbf Spirited Away did have parents turned into pigs..... I can't bring myself to have any appetite for the food they serve in that bathhouse......

I like this show so much. Everything, from the artstyle, the music and the story + characters gently sucks you into a world of unimaginable horror. The simple art style leaves enough to the imagination (some of the comedy is quite pervy), it's really a case of less is more, and the likewise broad brush in which the story is painted really helps to bring the characters to life in your head rent-free. It's not FMA or AoT, but it comes close and excells in its own right. 8/10

Binge watched it because the story and the characters were so captivating and intriguing. On one side it has very disturbing content and coupled with the fact that the main characters are mainly kids makes it harder to bear. But on the the other side it makes you courious for why things are like they are and why some of the characters do what they do, and of course what the ''secret'' of the Abyss is in general. I also wonder how it looks like inside the mind of the author, you'd think he came up with this on shrooms. That's a very creative mind for you i guess.

I’d dupe way too many people and get removed due to complaints.

My first thought when seeing the chibi art style was "oh, a cute adventure show." My second thought when seeing Reg do the thing on the fourth layer was "oh, holy-fucking-shit." I'm still paused on that scene. I am not prepared. I don't know if I can unpause. I've seen dark anime before. But something about this show hits different. Maybe because it's partially based on events that can and have happened in the real world. But goddamn.

I'm watching this today for curiosity bc some people said they stopped watching anime for months bc of this anime. Wish me luck... :>
