I grew up playing Tecmo Bowl on NES and huge fan of Madden on SNES. The latest Madden games had turned me off of video football, but I just started playing NFL 2k5 for the first time on my XSX (Ps2 emulator) and it’s everything I’d ever hope for in a football game .. fluid core mechanics with no extraneous BS getting in the way.

I miss the PS2 Madden era, was such a better game back then …

This the first Madden I have played in years can't lie it's kinda growing on me

Game looks pretty good like the new replay of plays

The thing that im most dissapointed with this year’s game is that they still have the same commentary team since madden 17 wonder why they’ve kept these 2 as commentators for this long usuallythey only keep the same commentary for a few years its almost a decade now

EA Sports signed an Exclusive Rights deal with the NFL making them the sole Monopoly video game of the NFL. No competition equals no pressure to make the game better each year. Man I miss all the cool things you used to be able to do on the old Madden games. Create a Team, Training Camp, Combine, Madden Cards, Create a Fan, Coach Communication Pre Snap, Classic Teams, upload your franchise Roster for regular game play, the list goes on.

Hell yeah This game is. Garbage for real for real. They got no competition as you say. Some people say that's so smart. No, it's not. Competition in life always makes you better makes you up your game. I said enough.

I like how the person giving the in game updates is in downtown Orlando, where the developers made the game.

Looks like the same game as the past 3 or so to me. They make a killing off of people by just repackaging it.

I can’t change the play call style from enhanced during gameplay. It’s no longer under visual feedback. Is enhanced the only play call style available?

I just got this for my dad for Christmas. He's not the gamer, (that's me, and to an extent my mom), but he LOVES football! He gets all huffy if someone spoils a game for him if he couldn't watch it live, LOL! Anyway, this is partially a gag gift, but partially a way I hope I can get him interested in gaming. Maybe he'll play this when football is off-season, as that's pretty much the only sport he watches

@@rareorange6371 He was definitely pleased! It will take him awhile to figure the controls, (early 60s, never played a game before) but he had his favorite team pulled up right away! He couldn’t figure how to pass, and had other things to do, but I think he will enjoy it if he gets to playing it! It was a bit of a sad moment too, though. My older brother is no longer with us, and I know he'd have loved doing that with Dad, and that if I'd not have thought of the game myself he would have. The PlayStation was always his favorite line of consoles, and he never got to see the PS5 come out.

2023 and they still look robotic as hell . lol . EA just can't seem to get this right

Does not seem that much different from other iterations of Madden playing on a base model PS4. Maybe I need to have the game running natively on a good 4k TV to see the improvements I'd hope to see from a next gen Madden?

@@pete7764 New Field-sense gameplay, new hit stick physics, slightly different passing, WR vs DB battles, faster load times and higher frame rate. It probably isn’t worth buying a new console just play this game in next gen.

Looks nice on PS5. I feel like madden (and NBA 2k) can be frustrating if you grab it every year. Not always a big enough difference. Most of the time, paying full price feels like I’m being cheated. But if it’s on sale, WTH might as well

i used to get it every year between 2003 to 2008. then stopped. got madden 2013 for ps vita, then stopped. then got madden 2018. i think imma grab madden 23 or 24. its best youy buy it every 5 years.

They can't even make players run like human beings. You should be able to experience/feel the impact of players hitting each other but they just bounce off. No realism at all, it's like everything is on arcade mode.

Dude, you're lucky the 4th play on the opening drive wasn't picked😅. Been playing Madden since 04. Slot receiver or TE on those crossing routes.

Had to laugh at the linebacker on the slant route just standing like a statue letting the ball sail over his head when in reality would have been a pick all day

2023 and they can’t make running / recieving animation as good as madden 04… imagine if they tried like back then with the technology now

Madden games had been dreadful ever since 13 till 23. Who knows Madden NFL 24 could be the last ever madden game released if they never improve on the overall game??

It’s sad when the game doesn’t look much different than Madden 20 on PS4 other than presentation… I haven’t gotten a Madden since 20, NBA 2k shows improvement every year and is more than the same gameplay over and over or MUT packs.. Which is why that’s game is my new every year favourite.

Why do i get the madden 22 intro? When i start a game up, it does the madden 22 intro.

Am looking into this madden since is on sale for 20$ and I haven’t played a madden game since like ps2 days.

Ok so 5:59 he stiff arms Aaron Donald to the ground somehow which makes him lose his balance but the laws of physics don't apply to madden because even though he was off balance and trying to get his footing he ran three guys over in slow motion.

You clearly hardly play nfl games do you have a look at 22 and you will literally see no difference between the 2 also they have like kept the same 2 commentators since nfl 17 usually they only keep them for a few years and change them trust me it looks the exact same as madden 22 just the graphics are just a tiny tiny bit better but that’s it it’s very disappointing

Where’s the coin toss? Where’s the create a fan? Where’s the mini game drills? Where’s practice mode? Where’s the feature where I can own/create a team, and pick what kinda stadium I wanna have them play in? And set the prices for concessions? And relocate the team if I wanted to? And that’s just a smidge of what’s missing from the game. I’d rather play, Madden 06 than this so called $60 football simulator.
