@@jacen8425 lol 😂 You have a point there. I'm playing Madden exclusively with specific slider sets that make it more realistic and iron out the wonkiness; "normal" Madden is borderline unplayable, especially if you care about realism (I mean, it's a sport simulation after all 🤷‍♂).

been playing madden for years. This video in 12 minutes taught me more than hours of videos in the past. I am an ultra noob but anyone getting into the game needs to watch this.

This was really helpful, thank you. Love football, but new to the madden game. This really helps you learn the sport in depth. I’m gonna need A LOT of practice since I’m so new but learning more about a sport I love makes this game so addicting and fun.

I’ve always been someone who holds the sprint button from the beginning with running backs and it’s always worked fine until 23. If I wait to hit it I get a lot better runs. If I hit sprint immediately I get stuffed.

One of my biggest mistakes is always running out of the pocket and end up getting sacked for a loss of yards, also didnt really know the difference between the catches. This video definitely helped me within the first few minutes 💯

I feel like I have less time to make a decision from the pocket in this years version. The pass rush is overwhelming, imho , and having to execute crazy button combinations to throw a frickin pass just compounds the problem. DB's are super aggressive, making it appear my WR's just aren't interested in making a catch. The "fun factor" doesn't exist ( for me at least) in this years version. Thanks for letting me rant.

This game is closer to real than the other bs ones now you know how a real Qb feels having to read the defenses and get it out in under than 3 seconds

That’s how it should be. The average play allows a qb 4 seconds to throw the ball. You don’t have all day.

what defense are these people running against you? no matter what defense i run, my opponent still has 35 seconds to throw the ball. it doesn’t matter if i send 9 people. i still can’t get pressure. the last madden i played was madden 20 and i was extremely good, but i literally cant even win a game on madden 23. i’d estimate my record is somewhere around 3-30 to 3-40. i literally get scored on every single drive and i can’t figure out how to stop anyone. ive probably gotten like 10 defensive stops total in 35-50 games its ridiculous. i want to be able to play the game without having to look up cheesy defenses on youtube but that isn’t possible with this game

I’m in the same boat. Got into Madden 23 after like 15 years off. So much learning involved in this game. It’s not like soccer or hockey or basketball. Those are mostly twitch based with little strategy. Madden is heavy on strategy and less on twitch. The learning curve is crazy though.

Thank you for all of your helpful videos. However, I do have a question. Are you experiencing errors such as a hurt player NOT showing up in the Medical center, or not getting game time notification that you have a hurt player and the opportunity to switch him out?

There’s also the Peyton Manning move in the game. While in the pocket and you don’t want your qb to get hit and risk fumbling. If you press R2,L2 and R3 your qb will lay down while in the pocket to avoid getting hit.

Omg. Thanks for the R1 tip. I'm at a point in H2H online where 90% of the teams I play are roll out qbs and they only 50/50 plays I can stop it is cb blitz. The only way I counter that is all runs + chew clock. Like 30 runs lol.

@@bennyodeus3022 check out the raiders playbook. Go to shotgun (7/13) Tight. The play is called mesh spot. 2 drag routes plus a slant curl in. If you can read the defense. Hit either 3 for a first down. Then continue running. It works well for me. Also check the trap run play. Works amazing.

When do we press y or x on offense or defense? Is it a tap ot actual hold. Is it right after you pass or just before the catch

If you're looking for a challenge, I suggest playing with specific slider sets to add more realism and to get rid of Madden's general wonkiness. If you google sliders for Madden you'll find enough sets to choose from. Matt10's sliders are pretty great and seem to be the best this year (imho).

I've always wanted to play Madden, but every single time I wanted to start, it was close to releasing the next one. Now I'm "only" 7 months or so late. But today's the day! Will be my very first Madden. I grew up with Fifa only. We never got NBA or Madden over here. We were lucky to be playing some NHL every now and then. And even that wasn't available 24/7.
