#MadAussieChallenge Week 3 Homemade Snap Gun
Made it out of a clothes hanger, bent it into shape with pliers and ground a tip with a bench grinder. works great but not very durable.

am not a lock picker at all but tried picking a padlock i had with no key with this device, and was amazed that i got it open. did it twice in case the first time was a fluke. yippee

Thanks so much HV! I hope you don't mind that I followed what you had done and made a less glamorous copy. I got it to work and appreciate the inspiration!

Thanks, pretty happy with how it turned out, easy to make another one once the tip inevitably snaps off

Hey, I thought about using a mouse trap to snap the lock open. Like, extend the arm that is used to be the trigger, place that on pins, and whack it with trap. It would work, the hardpart would be making it one handed friendly.

Use different type of wire. Try the solid bit at the end of a car radio antenna. 😉

Iv said it to a couple of people in the comments before but a bike spoke is a great option. however a coat hanger is pretty much free and everyone has one spare. they do work well but arnt super durable

yes, its just for demonstration. it will work on harder locks as well but you have to be more careful about getting the angle right and may need more attempts.
