I love madagasacar our long lost cousins!! Greetings from #Philippines
I love your documentaries. As an African I learn about how our fellow Africans live
I visited Nosy Be and Diego Suarez on a cruise with Costa Victoria. A wonderful trip to the Seychelles, Madagascar, Reunion and back to Mauritius. I have so many good memories from this voyage.
Am in love with this. I really want to vist Madagascar. It has rich cultures. This is amazing. Africa is truly blessed.

No greed
Without entering in the debate of colonization, I just want to say that I was lucky enough to visit this wonderful island twice (I'm not rich but lucky to have a job in education and saving money to visit such wonderful places) and this country is a pearl and its inhabitants are the most welcoming, generous and hard working I've never seen. The poorest ones encountered in the countryside shared their meals of dried fish and rice with us and their smiles and anecdotes. The landscapes are amazing, really I hope that each and everyone can see those places once in their life, but do it humbly. really my best trip ever!Long life to Madagascar and its people.

My great great great grandfather from my grandfather’s maternal side is from Madagascar. Him and his two sisters immigrated to the US in the 1800’s. I do know that they spoke French based on what they choose to do for money once in the states. I like to look at these videos to see similarities in features. I must visit here one day.

Whoa! You just solved a family mystery for me. Thank you!
What a beautiful land and beautiful people! Thank you for sharing this video. I had no knowledge at all of Madagascar except the land's name! Very educational and I enjoyed the views and colors of the land. It was interesting to see the huge vast of differences... to see an automobile next to a rickety rickshaw... modern clothes yet, little technology.... old boats... old cars... yet modern clothes and hair styles, etc... the stick huts... the children with no toys... yet the people seem happy!
As a scientist and bioengineer, I've always been impressed by Madagascar, regarding it as one of the world's great "living laboratories." There are many species of fauna and flora that are indigenous exclusively to the island including over 3 dozen species of lemur. There are also coffee plants whose beans decaffeinate naturally, and trees whose wood is termite-resistant. It's also home to the periwinkle plant whose extract (vincristine) has been used to effectively treat cancers. We cannot allow deforestation and other ecologically related problems threaten to destroy this place; it may very well have the cures to many diseases and conditions.

Origin of the people of Northern Madagascar and Comorros islands came from Shungwaya East African coast, present day Southern Somalia and Lamu Archipelago Kenya. They are of Bantu origin also known as Wangozi ( Original swahili people) who learned how to craft boats called "Mtepe" from Chinese Zheng hi traders when they arrived in Ras kiamboni Somali- Kenyan border. DNA of Comorros, Northern tip of Madagascar, Mafia Island (Tanzania), Pemba Island, all are original ethnic swahili people of Bajuni origin (Wangozi) and the DNA is the same.
What a beautiful and intriguing country and what amazing people, they deserve the best!
The back ground music is amazing.
