The actor who played Immortan Joe also played the villain in the first Mad Max movie. They used silver cake spray on their mouths and after the movie came out stores couldn’t keep it in stock. All the guys who are painted white are riddled with cancer and have been brainwashed into believing that if the die while fighting for Joe that they will go to Valhalla( heaven). The pregnant wife is married to Jason Statham, her name is Rosie Huntington-Whitley.

Without doubt, one of the best films ever made. And one of the most beautiful films to watch. Every frame is a painting. The colors are stunning in this, as is pretty most of the shot compositions. And the action is some of the most inventive you will ever see. Not many films have been made like this, a masterclass in visual storytelling. Deserved all the Oscars it got.

Seeing this in the theater was one of the most wild rides I ever had in cinema. Absolutely loved it and the crowd I was watching with was going nuts throughout the entire movie. Ending had a huge applause.

Mad Max Fury Road is an absolute master class of visual storytelling. You two should really watch the original trilogy with Mel Gibson if you two haven’t already. Mad Max (1979), Mad Max 2 (1981) and Mad Max Beyond ThunderDome (1985)

"My name is Max." That was a really moving human moment.

I would recommend you folks to check out Mad Max, Roadwarrior, and Beyond Thunderdome. Mad Max the character is just the lone man after losing his wife and child. Throughout his journey, he unwittingly helped others push forward with their life, whilst destroying a faction. It wasn’t his intention at all. Rather he is more of a hope that some folks thought was lost. In the end, he left on his own and left the folks he helped go on with theirs.

You guys need to understand that this isn't a fictional movie. This is a documentary that covers three days and two nights in the life of a milk truck delivery driver in the Australian outback. 🤣

I was actually set to work on this movie back in like 2006 or so, then Mel Gibson had his shouting at cops episode and the film was put on hiatus for like 8 more yrs or so. When production restarted I *was* offered the same position - but i would have had to pay my own airfare to south africa from australia so i was like "nah, i'm fine thanks - don't call me again." lol then all my other mates who worked as extras and bit parts were like "hey jon-boy! come up to queensland, they're filming parts of mad max here!!!" and just out of principal i was like.... "no! i won't be that bitch crawling back to a movie set!"

This has an A list cast!! AND LUCKY FOR US PART 2 MAD MAX: FURIOSA IS COMING MAY 24, 2024!!!!

This is exactly how I imagined the end of the world to be. This film won so many Oscar’s for so many things it’s insane.

The main actor is British. The main actress is South African but using an American accent. Most all the rest are Australian actors.

Furiosa is up there with The Bride, Ripley, and Sarah Conner for the greatest action movie heroines. In a movie titled Mad Max, she was the clear star.

I love this movie so much because it highlights how the world is like after a apocalyptic event and it shows how humans adapt and how evil people can be.

This movies is so well made and it has the most practical effect and real stunts in any movie to this day.

Easily one of the best blockbusters of the last 10 years.

The most jaw-dropping action film ever made? The practicality of all the action scenes makes me laugh in awe. It's a also very feminine tale despite it's visual exterior. Something you usually don't see in many action films before and after its release and it's a very well written tale at that. It doesn't try too hard to be intriguing, unlike the other Mad Max films.

Yes, this was expensive. $250 million or thereabouts. It was an extremely long, torturous shoot, filming in the Namibian desert for nine months. Everyone involved went a bit crazy and hated each other.

If there were two words to describe Mad Max, Fury Road would be 'pure adrenaline'

Hugh Keyes Brynn, Immortan Joe, would've been the Martian Manhunter in a canceled Justice League movie that was almost made 15 years ago. And the girl on the towel, the Valkyrie, is Megan Gale, who would've played Wonder Woman in that movie, too.

I think both movies do a good job of world building that they can stand on their own. I haven't seen the old mad max movies in almost 30 years, i barely remember them except for tina turner and i love this film

It's cool to let people know about previous movies they've missed, but to be honest with the Mad Max movies they aren't really in any kind of order. There's not like a any additional context to max that you would really learn. Other than my strange theory that this max is actually the feral kid

In a world like this choosing to do the right thing isn't easy that's why max doesn't at first. In some ways part of the strong feminist tropes of the film. He is so survival focused that he wasn't sexually objectifying them at all between that. The women and children as property and ending up with the seed bank from the Old ladys and rebuilding it's really full of progressive values. Who killed the world and all

Max was a Broken man Who lost everything he loves in this life and he became an a diferent man,the Road warrior have other stories,you need to watch the original trilogy

They don’t do it this way either, because visuals of both are a big part of the reaction and imagining a scene isn’t the same as viewing a scene in sync with the reaction.

​@@benjauron5873 This movie was was written in a way that it can be understood without seeing the first 3. This movie came out way after the trilogy, so the film makers knew a lot of people seeing it wouldn't have seen the first 3.

I watched in 2015. And still got the same emotion. MEDIOCRE, MORSOV!

I don't know why I was disappointed by this movie when it came out, but I didn't like the casting. I preferred the original films that almost exclusively used Australian actors like Mel Gibson. It was frustrating because the franchise used to be as Australian as Vegemite, but this film detracted from that. I feel like this movie drops you straight into the action with very little back story to appreciate why the future might look like this or even where on planet Earth this is meant to be playing out. As a result, I notice that people who skip the first movies to this one end up a bit confused and sometimes make false assumptions about what is actually happening. I can't fully explain it, but I felt like Charlize Theron was really out of place in this film and her role kind of departed from the film being centred around Max.
