  • @rotcoke652

    @rotcoke652

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@thelumberjacknurse4320 I agree there are some titles in there that should not be claimed, specifically I know there is like one season where they went like 10-2 or something in the 40s and claim one, and one in the 60s where they lost to Notre Dame in the bowl game, but in those days the AP designated the national champion before bowl games. However, the ones in the 20s and 30s are rock solid. This was back when the Rose Bowl was the only bowl game and Alabama had several undefeated seasons in these early years where they were invited to and won the Rose Bowl. The 1925 Rose Bowl game specifically had a tremendous impact changing the landscape of college football, because it was the first time a team from the southern US had been invited to play. At the time football teams from the southern US were largely considered inferior to terms from the west coast and northeast(think power 5 vs group of 5 currently) so Alabama came into the game as a heavy underdog, but ended up winning and sort of shocking the nation. "Remember the Rose Bowl we'll win" is actually a part of our fight song.

    Molly crowing about the "black and white film". Yes, Molly, the list is "most storied college football programs" meaning programs with the richest HISTORY...sometimes history is in black and white. It's interesting, you're not.

    I got: 1. Alabama 2. Notre Dame 3. USC 4. Ohio St 5. Oklahoma 6. Michigan I struggled with either putting Michigan very high in my top 5 or just outside and I struggled with putting them in my top 5 because they do have a lot of National Championships but a lot of them came in the 1900s when most college football programs except those that we now consider ivy league and a few other such as Michigan had just started learning about football and starting their programs but because Michigan is one of the oldest college football programs and has been able to sustain a presence and a high level of interest among their fan base throughout history it makes me want to put them in higher. I think 6 is probably fair though.

    I think yall hired Mad Dag to get mad owned. Bama has 18 national titles (1st FBS), 942 wins (T- 2nd Ohio St, Mich has 974 wins but started in 1878, Bama 1892) Alabama 74 bowl games, with a 44-27-3 (FBS- record, and both wins and losses are the most lol) 137 weeks and counting at the #1 spot, next is Ohio St w/108wks @ #1) And if you wanna get an average on how often they win a natty? Try a national title every 7.2 years! That's from 1892-2021. Yeah you can say shared titles, or undeserving, but you can also say 1945 Bama 10-0 (6-0) beat USC in the Rose Bowl 33-14, and had 6 shutouts that year. Or how about Bryant's 3 pt, that was stolen basically by Notre Dame with a tie with Mich St. But the fact Bama wasn't integrated hurt, and deserved so. Bear made up for that in 1970 against USC in B'ham. How about 1977? But forget about those, just the fact Bama has the 2 most national title winning coaches in history is enough for Mad Dog, to get mad gone! The rest of my list would make alot more sense than his dookie poll- #1. Bama #2. Notre Dame #3. Ohio St #4. Michigan #5. USC ------------- #6. Oklahoma #7. Nebraska #8. Texas You all can critique #2 through #8 on my list. But #1 is just too darn obviouso! I thought Finenbaum was gonna Tae Kwon Do ol' Mad Weenie Dog, in one of the earlier shows. Dude is Mad though, gotta give em' that! And he said he wouldn't vote for Will Anderson Jr, for Heisman? What he gonna be the only on to not vote for him? Especially after WAJr 31 finds out. Or is that "rat poison "? Might be that yummy "Rat Poison "

    BAMA should be and really is #1 it shouldn't even be debatable, first off BAMA has been the most consistent at winning championships and having dynasties, sure ND, USC, Mich etc were great Bluebloods back in the day, but so was BAMA going back to the 1920s, great rose bowl wins and championships, here's the problem with mad dogs analysis, whens the last time USC, ND. Michigan, Oklahoma etc won a championship, the longest BAMA has ever been without a championship is 15 years from '93-08 and that goes back to the 1920s, way more consistent by far than anyone else only a few down years, BAMA has more significant NCAA football records than anyone else by far, Michigan has the all time wins record but BAMA is second Michigan started playing football long before BAMA, it won't be Long before BAMA will own that record as well, there's no argument BAMA was elite for the most part in early football but has sustained greatness way better than anyone else, there's no argument mad dog is a fool RTR

    These videos are hlariouos...not in a good way. Every video you see of the "Top 5" are Mad Dog giving his list, while the other commentators (inciuding SASmith) are rubbing and rolling thier eyes, then picking the list apart claiming, "I wasn't born then, I was only two or three." You not being around is not an automatic disqualification of teams or players being good. This is worse than Undisputed.
