I believe he said, "we know", then he mentioned that Russia had more nukes and more advanced capabilities in that area and other weapon systems. What he was saying for those who want to listen is that he's aware that a conventional war will be lost by Russia therefore he would not start one, but if NATO starts one Russia is prepared to nuke them even if that means mutual destruction. he once said that a world without Russia would not be a world worth living in.

I think you should probably widen your reading, sebby. if you actually read any news at all. 80% of the world's population and GDP is on Russia's side, as well as hypersonic tech the west doesn't have. if the hypersonic hootis were to attack Israel, if Hizbollah were to have hypersonic by the 'end of the war', if one single hypersonic hit an israeli town, the FTSE would collapse and LBC would be among many media organisations living with even more pay cuts and even more firings and downsizing and begging bowls I am the banker from the British system who most naively would have stood by and saved people like Fogarty from their fate, because I am now faster than Soros, when it comes to derivatives. I like the fact that she's waving and smiling whilst not paying attention and then cut him off. The war IS over and any Peace agreement will be on Russia's terms. Ukraine is finished as a country because their economy has collapsed, they've lost thousands of men and the corruption hasn't been abetted. British journalism at its worst.

Nato didn’t want nuclear war. Since then we see what Russia has done and it’s horrific. We also see how hard the Ukrainians want freedom. Folks aren’t getting that macron said nothing should be ruled out. That should of been the position from the start. Russia is the enemy of Europe.

Er....the only reason Russia has any troops in Ukraine is because they have nuclear weapons. If they didn't then they would never have dared. Do you have any idea how powerful NATO is compared to Russia? It's like comparing China and Thailand.

You don't lower the age of conscription, kidnap men in the streets and abolish demobilisation after 3 years front line duty if you aren't taking significant losses, Ukraine is running out of men while russia has continued to increase the size of its military with mostly volunteers

Simon knows what he is saying. You asked if Russia is a problem for Nato, It is plain to see what you asked is right. A country that is no problem for Nato would be destroyed already. Iraq, Libya, and many more were destroyed for being too weak.

@@nathanj109 What you don’t get is the fact that we are not only helping save lives of Ukrainian, but getting rid of a lot of old weapons that will be decommissioned in the upcoming years. Decommissioning weapons is a very expensive process. Also, by helping Ukraine, Britain is opening doors for trade and tech businesses in the future. Ukraine has great industrial capabilities, which will make it economically powerful in the future. Goes without saying that after the war, Hungary won’t be offered lucrative business deals with them. By not helping Ukraine now, many Ukrainians will die and Britain won’t benefit from Ukraine becoming one of the big economic powers in Europe. Yours is is truly heartless and short sighted viewpoint.

You’re speaking as if we as the people are going to benefit from trade with Ukraine? What business do you have within the sectors that you mentioned that’s going to see you personally make money? I don’t care about money that I’m not going to see or isn’t going to benefit the people. I’m sure the decommissioning of weapons will just go into funding more weaponary for our defence budget. The NATO does not even address that. You are talking about a verbal agreement between Russia and NATO. Apparently Representatives from NATO promised not to occupy countries that border Russia. They have honored that promise but since Russia unlawfully invaded Ukraine everything is on the table.BTW the border safety net for Russia today is a mute point. Today's technology makes it all obsolete.

NATO did not go to the Russian border, Ukraine was not a lock to enter NATO before the war but Putin and the war has pushed Ukraine into a position that the West has said it could depending on the outcome of the war would allow them into NATO.

Russia can barely keep up with an army that was cobbled together fighting with soviet era weapons and nato hand-me-downs

I received a reply to a request I sent to my MP Darren Jones asking him to support a peaceful resolution in Ukraine. His answer included these words: “I support reinforcing our troops in Ukraine”. There is plenty more evidence that UK armed forces are involved in the NATO-Russia war in Ukraine.

What people like Shelagh ignore is that Russia tried to avoid this confrontation. For eight years they tried to use the Minsk accords to find a diplomatic solution only to be faced with the truth as expressed by Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande that the accords were bogus and meant to prepare for war. Well the west and Ukraine got their war. Putin and Russia were never the problem it was always the conniving, underhand west who pushed this war with NATO expansion and regime change which gave rise to this catastrophy.

Wrong, Russia made "peace treaty" demands that they knew in advance that NATO would never be able to agree to, just go look for > Russia issues list of demands to NATO - DW Demands that Russia knew in advance would be rejected, so they could use it as an excuse to later put the blame on NATO for their invasion of Ukraine, that they obviously had already planned a very long time in advance.

Russia does it twice a year, whats there to explain. Every one 18+ must sign up for selective service Draft/conscription) in the USA. Its nothing new, everyone has gotten soft because the USA volunteer military has been protecting Europe for 70 years.

Your chances of even seeing a Russian soldier if you go fight are very low. The battlefield has changed!

Prof. Mearsheimer (Chicago University) said in an interview that Israelis killed more civilians in a month after October, 7 than Russians in the two years. Approach and goals are completely different.
