I'm a dj living in Utah at the time when his first demo came out I was supposed to go to his show but I had to play another show. About a month later I was working the landscape job we had a clean around the parking lot out by the airport. I found his very first demo that was burned on a CDJ with sharpie written on it that's just said Macklemore. I put it in my truck CD player and fell in love with ninety-nine percent of the songs. I've been following them ever since, it's been over probably 10 years give or take. 🙃

You’re an inspiration bro with your music and sobriety, but also, I think most poignantly the lyrics, are what get me. Don’t get me wrong, you definitely have some bangers to shake it to.

I saw Macklemore in concert in Paris in 2018, he was an amazing performer. On one song he had little Sloane dancing on the scene, and the way he looked at her is the same than in this video. It may be because I grew up with a loving father, and lost him this same year (I was 23), but I think a father-daughter love is one of the most beautiful things in this world. I loved the video where Macklemore surprised his grandmother (songtitle Glorious) but this one even moved me more. Thank you.

Don’t watch music videos often but when I saw him ask her to direct this on Instagram I knew I had to see it. I love how honest he’s been about his struggles and you can really feel it from the first song to the last in this album the emotion and thought that went into it all.

This music video is so wholesome, Macklemore giving his daughter the best day of her life, no bad days. I loved this music video. I didn’t know that Macklemore had a kid, Macklemore is a boss music artist because of the song 20 dollars in my pocket that was released in 2012. I love that song too.

This shit made me cry. I first got into Macklemore because I related to his struggles with substance abuse and his fight for recovery. The second I saw hoe happy thid msn is now with his daughter in thisI started crying tears of joy. Not all of us make, let alone turn there life around to the point you can tolerate life without substances. Even fewer of us are able to turn it all around and thrive . You need to work so hard and that’s what Macklemore did. He put in the work. So to see him and his daughter being together having fun like this, and bringing joy to this world like this with a positive message, it made me cry tears of joy. I’m still fighting, but this gives me hope I can fight harder and be the man I know I can be. Thank you Macklemore, and for all struggling addicts there, love yourself, forgive yourself, and know that you are loved and we can do this together.

So much feel. I work in a program with incarcerated fathers; I really want to show them this to remind them what's important. Keep them motivated and hopeful, looking towards reuniting with their kids after release. Still a huge fan...just huger now 😀
