One can only say that it is amazing. I am from Iran in Asia in the Middle East, the people of my country really love and one of the most popular Mack trucks, especially the R600 model, of course it is old, but it is a very good and hard truck. Really thank you Mack factory for the products that work for a lifetime. 😊✌✌🙏🏼

Those days are over Volvo bough the Mack company. Mack biggest engine now is just a 13litter that is why they use Cummins 15Litters in their trucks.

@@mohammmadm.b9615 no, I don't think that they are bad truck. I believe there are better trucks out there that are more powerful and better quality. I live in US for over 40 years. I have kenworth truck with caterpillar engine in it.. Kenworth are now on top,, Freightliner are another popular company who makes more affordable trucks.

@@mohammmadm.b9615 It's not bad or powerless, but it's just a Volvo. No more Mack engines or axles or camelbacks. I dunno if Mack transmissions still exist either. It's interesting that Volvo decided to keep the cab. It was a bit ahead of its time when it came out in 1990, just like the R model was in 1967.

The bulldog is still growling :-) I like these mechanical gearboxes & drum brakes in the year 2020 ! 16:00 ... Air conditioning dryer - for cool drivers ... Great video

That's probably an autoshift. It operates internally just like a manual, but all the clutching and shifting is done by a computer. I dunno how they are now, but last time I drove them in 2008 they were awful, Shuddering like the end of the world when engaging the clutch, banging into gear, missing shifts. Blech! A lot of vocational Macks have Allison automatics, which work just like the automatic in your car. They have a torque converter and planetary gears, which means they can get away with it having only six speeds, even though the maxidyne high torque rise engine is now gone forever.

Terrific to see all these good people working hard to produce these machines.

Buenas tardes desde Los Alcazares Murcia ESPAÑA, la verdad que me e quedado festinado con esa maravillosa empresa que es MACK, cuando yo tenia unos 20 años yo ya estaba CROMANDO los espejos aquellos tan elegantes y robustos las letra que componían la palabra MACK y el PERRO tan majestuoso y elegante que le hace al CAMION, que los camiones eran de una agencia de transporte que se llamaba, TRANSPORTES SAN JOSE que estaba en un pueblo llamado OIARZUN en la gasolinera de LINTZIRIN y ahora ya estoy jubilado y tengo 68 años y la verdad que ya me gustaria tener un camión de esos a escala 1:87 o sea ( HO ),les doy las gracias por ver semejante empresa y muy grande, un cordial saludo y un buen apretón de manos....

I spent 21 years in Hagerstown and 10 more in South Carolina plant before 9/11 economic downturn and that plant closed then moved part of it to Dublin Va with Volvo plant first so Macungie could under go major renovations to accept all production of highway Mack. Construction such as the low entrance used in the waste removal is now at Dublin. I had pleasure before I totally retired, third actual, working for the rear vision systems company near where I live in SC that made the ones for all of Dublin production Mack and Volvo as well as most other makes all over the country.

Nice to see manufacturing here in the US. Icing on the cake is that same manufacturer producing its own engines and power train components... a rare thing indeed.

It didn’t have to be like that. I’ll stick to a old Mack Superliner instead 💪 Mack E9 V8 Engine, Mack Transmission, And Mack Rear Ends... All MACK when they were REAL MACKS 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I think people make too big a deal with Volvo owning Mack Trucks. Would it be nice if the ownership group of Mack was based in the US? Yes, of course. But, I think the most important issue is if the manufacturing remains in the US. In the case of Volvo's ownership of Mack Trucks, they have kept manufacturing in the US, including the engines which are manufactured in Hagerstown, Maryland. If you think about it, what is likely to have a greater impact on the US economy, a company's manufacturing operations being based in the US or the ownership group? I think everyone knows that there are several US companies where the ownership remains in the US, but they have long since shifted their manufacturing to outside of the US. In my opinion, the greater positive economic impact is in the country where the manufacturing is done. I've also seen complaints of "Well yes, there is manufacturing of Mack Trucks here in the United States, but they also have production factories overseas (Australia & Venezuela)". This is true of the entire Heavy Duty Truck industry. Even Kenworth and Peterbilt have production plants in Mexico, Canada and other countries, as well as here in the United States. And a more common complaint that we've all heard recently about Mack, is this belief that they're now made in China. This is just not true. In fact Mack Trucks have no relationship to China or any Chinese company. This misunderstanding seems to stem from the purchase of Volvo Autos back in 2010 by Geely Holding Group, a Chinese Company. But Volvo only sold their auto division to Geely. The Volvo Group is a huge multinational manufacturing corporation. When they sold their auto division to Geely, Volvo retained ownership of all of their heavy vehicle operations, including Mack Trucks. Again, China has nothing to do with Mack Trucks. Now having said all this, if people have an issue with Mack Trucks' quality or a lack of more powerful engine options, then maybe they might have a fair argument. It would be nice to see more engine options available from Mack. But, at least Mack has some of the most fuel efficient engine options in the market. As for the quality issue, this might be a bit subjective. I've heard many Mack owner/operators who are very pleased with their Mack Anthem trucks. I've also heard of some, who are not.

Enjoyed that. Visually labelling of which parts were being installed would have been especially interesting.

Hi, we own a semi truck from Mack and lately having some mechanical troubles with it. Some mechanics checked it out and looks like no one is able to look into the actual problem.I am based in North America, since you make such videos, I just thought if you would know someone who can help us here? Later Renault bought a majority share of Mack, then was taken over by Volvo.Volvo also joined forces with G.M. after the pur- chase of the defunct White Motor Corp. by Volvo to create the White- GMC badge. This ended G.M.'s involvement in the heavy truck industry

not any more a glorified Volvo, don't have a manual gear box any more, all auto's, years ago a drove a Mack Trident it had the triple counter shaft 20 speed overdrive gearbox, that something to play with lol Recently I had to take a Trident or deliver it to a dealer, I got it in and to my surprise there no gear stick, I went back to sales office, hey I don't know what to do here, I've never seen a Mack without a gear stick, the bloke looked at me as though I was stupid, (guess I was) he came out and pointed to some buttons on the dash and said press those things will happen, I said 'ok' and away I went, it was boring.

@@bergerk20 No longer a real American truck. The engines they use and the the frames and drivetrain are straight off a Volvo. I don’t see the point of it. MACK owners owned MACK trucks because they were the highest standard of quality available. Fun Fact : Everyone of these MACK trucks had Mack printed on ever bolt and nut. Even the lug nuts said MACK on them. See, my problem isn’t with Volvo. My problem is MACK owners expect a Real Pure Breed American BullDog when in reality it’s just a Swedish truck with a wannabe MACK cab sitting on the Volvo frame and engine. This would be equal to sitting a European truck on an American chassis. It just doesn’t feel right. Might as well just own a Volvo I guess.

That can style is the exact same since 1992. Matter of fact even the chassis is the sam and the rear ends. Nothing has changed on that truck except the hood design and doors

Actually that cab came out in 88-89 when Mack CH was launched. And the frame is not a Mack frame anymore. From the early 2000s they’re riding on Volvo frames

Super Single tires are designed for lighter weight for semis. They have more tread but if one blows out, you're in trouble.
