I think one of the big reasons it started is because the starter got so hot it actually was able to heat the water and oil laughing

Awesome truck and great sound. Any way you could make another cold start video and show us what you’re doing in the cab to get it started? Would love to see what you’re doing with the throttle pedal. Maybe just put us a little closer to the open drivers door? Subscribed!

Great video!I am sure that melted a few strands of wire and shortened the starter life but was a great video. Thanks.

Old man used to put Ethel alcohol or some mixture to keep the fuel from geling... get the old cabover mack to start let it run while he had breakfast up the street Bethlehem Pennsylvania or Pennsyltucky as we call it!! He'd delivered ver further north chains all that so had to deal with the cold a plenty... Furniture business but our family hauled other stuff meat trucks and rail cars dray business in the 1800s.

It's honestly genius whoever designed diesels. Who woulda thought a boosted 20:1 cp or even higher with no throttle body all just vacuum basically and compression igniting the diesel would work. Don't have to worry about pre det or knocking. And the fucking fuel pressure some newer trucks use like 20,000psi of fuel pressure before the injectors and the goddamn injectors use fucking crystals in them to open and close. It's like a alien fucking made the design. Same with knock sensors they use a special crystal inside them. If it detects a slight knock it will vibrate the crystal and just vibrating a crystal will produce voltage. That's how the knock sensor works.. diesel injectors use crystals aswll but they add voltage to them and it flexes the crystals or something and opens them for a small amount of time. Another cool thing I never knew diesels don't use throttle bodys they just use fuel pressure to rev. The turbos never even go into vacuum always at 0psi or above that. They are very very different the gasoline.
