Mack LE - McNeilus MSL Garbage Truck!
Well, here's something I never thought I'd see again, let alone be able to film - an MSL collecting garbage right here in Kennewick! This truck typically handles a manual recycle route, which is how I always figured this truck would get it's KZread debut, but to my amazement, due to some truck and personnel shortages over the past couple of weeks, this truck and it's driver have had to go help out on garbage on a couple of occasions! To my knowledge, the last time an MSL collected garbage in Kennewick was clear back in 2009 when the old Volvo WXLL Wittke Express was pulled out as a last resort spare - an occasion which I was also lucky enough to get on video! Needless to say, I was beyond stoked to be able to catch this. As many of you know, I grew up watching MSL's and the occasional rear loader handle semi-automated take-all collection, up until 2005 when the take-all service was discontinued and automated collection was phased in. So getting to see this was just like taking a step right back into my childhood. This will quite likely never happen again, so naturally, I made sure to accumulate a true wealth of footage. This is just the first of several parts to come, but the rest will be saved for a good long time ;) Until then, I hope you enjoy this truck's introduction!

Nice truck haha! It’s weird to see Shane by himself lol. It’s got a nice speed other than the packer haha. Definitely on my film list lol. It just really looks cool in WM colors imo

Msl's are my second favorite truck; nice job! An msl from wmac did the recycle one week, and trash the other. I filmed both. Are you still filming?
Awesome video! So cool to see this truck on a carted route! Love the sound of the truck, I'm glad they still have this Mack at your yard. The Heil is already gone right? Great to see so many WMX carts still in the city. Seems like those have held up well. Nice work to you and Shane!!
Wow! Love the video Bryn! This trucks looks so familiar to me. When I was at WMAC, we had a truck exactly like this. It was the only Mack in a fleet of WXLL MSL’s. The unit # even seems familiar as I think this was the truck that was used for the city of Newark recycle routes, before Republic got the city. I remember it cuz the number did not match the others from that area. The others were 1522**. Great video and I look forward to seeing more of this truck!

Love sideloaders. Very fast working trucks until you need to compact a couch. Then your day grinds to a halt for a few minutes. Maybe even 10. Still..... fast working since the blades is constantly working and you don’t have to dump a bucket or cycle the blade and wait.
Is there a full version of the song? Asking for myself and my 2 year old.
