No one embraced the madness like the macho man. And man, he looked great here. I always loved his outrageous outfits in those bright & bold 80s n early 90s colours. Only he, the warrior and the rockers could pull that off. This man is surely the goat, dig it! 💪😎

Met Randy Poffo many times. Genuine individual that possessed the same energy no matter the settings... My family was involved with Angelo and ICW while it ran in Central Kentucky and the surrounding areas.

@DJ Smoothe Savage never put anyone over if it didn't benefit him either so what are you talking about? In an entire two decades of his wrestling, Savage only "put over" Diamond Dallas Page. He went over clear and clean as day against a heel Crush in Mania '94, he destroyed Flair multiple times and made his style look like crap against him in 1992, and he only took the fall for Yokozuna in a royal rumble. Hogan lost the main title clean to Warrior in 1990, at WrestleMania, lost to Billy freaking Kidmann, lost and colored himself for a then-new superstar in Brick Lesnar on a regular Smackdown, lost to Yokozuna dropping the title to him, lost to Undertaker twice and dropped the title to him twice, pushed Edge by winning the tag-team belts with him and elevating him altogether. You're literally taking out of your butt to say Hogan didn't push others.

Even with the intensity turned down a bit, a cup of Macho in the morning is always a great buzz! Also, I need to remember that line about at least being smarter than the dumbest person alive.

"Slip on a banana peel, and you end up on top" was TOTALLY Randy taking a dig at Flair's "flop" move. Guess he didn't like anyone both on the mic and in the ring trying to be more creative or charismatic than him.

He really did not. He should have taken breaks but he went nonstop for 25 years or more. His body needed the rest and the fans needed some time to miss him. When the WCW folded Savage could NOT come back to the WWF and had nowhere of consequence to really go.

@@tonshaad1230 I remember in 1990, Randy looked terrible. He had lost a lot of muscle mass and CLEARLY needed time off, but he just kept wrestling. He was wearing out his image and then the full body suits came along and then the hat . Doing TV spots, traveling, etc. He needed a long break, obviously. Come back strong and MISSED by the fans!! He just never left and wore out his value to the point of working with, sigghhhh, Crush and Doink and sucking up to the stupid Undertaker

@@joeyravage4798 Exactly. Matter of fact, Vince urged him to stop wrestling as early as 1991 (ironic as Savage would have a career resurgence through Slim Jim and WCW) because he thought he looked rather stale and old -- which by all intents and purposes, the older 1984 group was looking stale as they've been there for so long that the "newer" pushed mid-carders started looking much better. Savage just didn't know when to quit. When he suffered that injury in 1998, he should've retired to heal both physically and mentally.

@@tonshaad1230 The short TNA run is part of my point. After realizing he could no longer have decent matches Savage stayed away from the ring for the rest of his life. If he was alive today there's no chance he'd be having a Flair-style retirement match. He knew when to stay retired--when to walk away from the ring.
