RIP Mean Gene and Macho Man Randy Savage two of the very best when wrestling was WRESTLING and not the crap that it is today

I would love to kick off 1988 again. I was 14 years old best years of my life and I didn't even know it.

In 1988 I was unjustifiably in a position I’d rather not be in

Mean Gene legitimized WWE over all other wrestling brands.

@@yamahayz0426 Yes. Same difference. So let's clarify for those who have never heard of this entity known as WWE. The organization known as WWF during our youth, changed name to WWE in 2002...almost 20 years ago now. These acronyms refer to the same entity formerly known as Titan Sports Inc, Capitol Wrestling Corp, Worldwide Wrestling Federation (WWWF), and all other business names of the McMahon dynasty.

Wade Suhr Great straight man, quick on his feet, subtle, hilarious. Now they just try to script everything. Ugh.

"I can't let you get away! And in the steel cage you can't get away!" All that's missing is an off screen yell to finish...

Pro wrestling ain’t fun these days. They need more cartoon characters like this. Everyone is just Mister Badass it’s boring.

I wonder how Savage lost that match. Very rare for babyfaces to lose steel cage matches in the WWF back then.

He did pin The Honky Tonk Man clean at Madison square Gardens, it just wasn't a title shot! Everything after that was! The steel cage i'm sure The Hart Foundation interfered!
