isn't the the whole point of the haimer that the ball is exactly the distance it takes to get to zero?

Yes! Absolutely. But as I found out, something is off and I am going to use the offsets to help dig into why or how much to adjust. Not the correct (or permanent) solution - just a tool that will be used to find and fix.

That seems to be off quite a bit when setting up your haimer should whatever tool number you're using it and diameter set to zero also do you have the right and diameter tip for your Haimer? And double check work coordinates in your program. When I make parts I always try to use the same datum or two edges when I flip the part. Hope some of this will help you I'm not an expert.

i always clinch buttcheeks affter flipping a part...all my instincts say the machine will never be dead nuts on the part.. ( usually it is , but im cynical) commonly ,my mistake is leaving side offset stock on the part in fusion.. In other words, i never changed the setup from the top side setup
