I cried with Knots the lyrics were so sad and just the whole feel of the song... great ending in my opinion

This made me reflect a lot on privilege and such, great review

Just found your channel, really enjoying hearing your thoughts! Glad you love this album as much as me, if you wanna hear more of Fab's work definitely check out Little Joy from 2008. It's the furthest thing from machinegum but is still a really sweet project in a completely different way

Salut Professor, came here after your new Strokes album’s review and it certainly paid off even though I didn’t listen to this one yet. But I Know Fab’s work in Little Joy and it’s very good, you should take a hearing. Would be truly interesting to hear your thoughts on that. Very good content and cool reflections on life and New York.

In case no one has mentioned it yet: the lead vocalist on (at least the majority of) this record is not Fabrizio Moretti, it's the singer from fellow synth pop/indie band Nation of Language, Ian Richard Devaney. Moretti is definitely doing background vocals on a lot of the songs though and (according to Apple Music's credits at least) wrote all the songs on the album. I'm not sure the Apple Music credits are accurate though because they also list him as the lead vocalist.
