I found this band a long time ago when I was listening to music on the internet and downloaded a song from them on accident. And to this day Player One has been one of my favorite tracks, not just from them, but of any group.

Yes. Playing on gaming events,releasing their music on torrent... This band is one i think it's worth supporting.

Assembly Summer is a LAN event hosted in Hartwall Arena, Helsinki, Finland, every summer. Each year they have some sort of a concert there and this year it was Machinae Supremacy performing.

They used to play the synth live, but they changed the lineup a few years ago. There's an official explanation, maybe one of them will pop up here and explain :)

What you say is very true. As they play at a LAN party the majority will keep playing games and the people who acually enjoy the music will most likely go to the front of the stage. The "gamers" (even if they are metalheads) will most likely be standing pretty still even if they love the music. Not saying everyone will be standing still, just saying the majority will.

To all the people who were there and never even glanced at the stage : Look at them! Look at them and laugh!

They were playing in front of the hardest kind of people. Gamers.. I am a gamer myself I sadly must say that gamers are usually very withdrawn. Nothing bad about gamers...we just look a bit lame on concerts where there are only gamers. We need someone to really tell us to jump to jump because we are so amazed by the music we just stand still ;)

That gig was superb even Hartwall Arena's acoustics tried to ruin whole thing... that arena isn't good place for such musical events but ... If YOU weren't there, too bad, this was one of the gigs you should experience during your lifetime.... :)

I do feel you, but I would happily sacrifice my privileges if they can be more sucessful.

And what if you're a metalhead and a gamer? I think the reason why the audience may not seem as receptive is because they are not playing in front of a dedicated audience e.g. having their own specific concert hosted only for them. Instead they are playing on a convent so you are bound to have a few dedicated fans who went for them, the rest are people who are watching for fun. You can tell the difference in activity levels usually.

About there not being any shots about the keyboard player... Well if I remember it correctly, MaSu hasn't used a keyboard player during live shows 5 years or so. They use playback samples these days.
