Alexander The Great was from his fathers side an Argaeades and from his mother's side an Aeacides. Both of them are known Greek families (it obvious even from the names), regardless the opinion one has about the ethnic background of the inhabitants of the Kingdom. So, the answer is definitely "YES he was Greek", without needing to enter that politically loaded field.

This country was conceived in 1990 and was once ancient Greek Macedonia so there are still a lot of ancient Greek artifacts to be found.

Ohrid. Original name was Lihnidos (Greek) which means "city of light" It was renamed Ohrid (city of a hill) at the end of the ninth century by the Slavs. That's how much the Slavic Macedonians and the Albanians are fighting over the origin of the City/lake. For apparent reasons both eliminated the existence of the Greeks that predated to both of them by thousands of years.

Our alphabet didnt exists back then. But that doesnt mean our language didnt. How stupid can you be?

"Бил дом на најпознатите учители, свети Наум и свети Климент, кои три децении работеле во Охрид"! ОК, говори се за РИМСКИ и ВИЗАНТИЙСКИ паметници, за Климент Охридски и Наум Преславски/Охридски! За славянски университет (забележете, не за МАКЕДОНСКИ)! Защо не се каза ЕДНА дума за БЪЛГАРСКИЯ Охрид през тези три децении? Коя държава създаде Охридския и Преславския университети (защото по тава време успоредно съществува Преслав като книжовен център!)? Климент е назначен за ПРЪВ ЕПИСКОП БЪЛГАРСКИ, след което Наум Преславски е изпратен за ректор на Охридския университет и е именуван като Охридски! Това защо не го казахте на Евронюз? На коя територия се наогяше Охрид през 9-11 век? Да сте слушали за Борис 1 - Михаил и за Симеон Велики? Надявам се най-после да разберете ЕДНО НЕЩО : ЗА ДА ИМА УНИВЕРСИТЕТ, ТРЯБВА ДА ИМА ДЪРЖАВА! зА ДА ИМА Кеймбридж трябва да има Англия, Магнаурската школа - Елада/Гърция, Охрид и Преслав - БЪЛГАРИЯ! Може ли да има професори на Охрид без да има НЕКАКВА държава?

Исках да нпиша същото! Една дума не се каза за българското наследство, което си е 90% от това на което се радват туристите днес! Охрид е бил и столица на България, но това явно няма никакво значение за тъпото Евронюз! Но както някой някога беше казал "Македония без българи огън да я гори"!

Pant Plus Omg!!! FYROM has history?!!. You stole it from Greece,Bulgaria, and Albania. A pseudo nation created by Tito. Macedonians are Greek and you are a Slav. Your history is related with the slavs which came around the 8th century. You cannot compare with the history of the ancients like e.g Ancient Ilyrians (Albanians). Even the today if we look closely Greeks are not the same as the ancient, they are a combination of Albanians(arvanites), Turks and Slavs. That we are one of the oldest STILL living folk in Europe besides the evidence of language ,world history (not just state or local history as you are based on), we have also genetically evidence (read about Haplogroup E-M215 (Y-DNA)). and you can believe what ever you want i just wanted to tell the truth. But you shouldn't be hateful and racist because I didn't insult you directly. This just tells what wild creature you are. #PEACE
