Sadly it seems that Microsoft has patched both streaming your xbox and party chats from working on macs. I will update this comment if anything changes

I did exactly this to stream from my xbox console but when I run Remote play it is stuck on the first image and screen not responds. I can hear actual sound but no image. I think microsoft block this intentionaly :(

I did something similar to this a few months back, but streaming is less than 1fps. It's mental, I wish MS would sort it out. Streaming in-house is how I play my xbox 99% of the time.

Why are we having tech wars? Everyone wins when everything works together. I build gaming PC and owns every Xbox console out there but I won't carry around a clunky fugly pc laptop, that's why we have MacBooks.

Remote play won't work for me. I'm have the M1 Macbook Pro and installed the Xbox app via the imazing method. The controller is connected and it will control the main app, but the game does not show when I go into remote play. However, I can hear the controlled controlling the characters in a game, but the image won't show. Any ideas anyone?

Jack is there an option to play on Mc OS without streaming from Xbox ? I mean about playing games directly from the Xbox cloud on Xbox game pass.

Is there any possible way to get the Xbox app on a Mac without an M1 chip? This is an old MacBook Pro so it probably isn't possible. I just want to play my Xbox games on my Mac without buying them again on steam or another website.

its saying there should be a verification code on my other devices but nothing is happening

But what if your trial ends, do you still have the thing?

Doesn’t work any more. It says the app was was not intended for this platform and fails install.

No sorry this Xbox app is the same one as the iOS version that you can get on your phone

It didn’t work in macOS Big Sur but why??

This almost worked, but at the end it didn’t. It said “the developer didn’t intend for this to work on this platform”. But I’m going to see if this app is going to work on some other apps. A bit disappointed but it’s fine.

Not into the Xbox app. You will need an adapter that converts the hdmi signal to usb, most the times these are known as capture cards. I don’t have a lot of experience with these but I know there are some on Amazon for like $20

@@bryanlopez3034 Not with the $20 one. I don't believe there currently is a USB card which would allow for true 4k 60 passthrough. There are various 1080p 60 cards available however.

It’s patched bro, when you double click it show day the app developer didn’t intend for it to be used this way. so pretty much we can’t program the Xbox app to be converted to our Mac.

You can't install the application "xbox 2312.1.7.ipa" because it is not supported on this type of mac.
