The Mac LC is back amongst the living, but that's only half the job. We need to service the floppy drive, find a replacement for the missing SCSI hard drive and bring it back to its original 1991 state. Let's crack on.

Great video! I'm glad you got your system up and running. Thank you so much for adding those documents to your archiving pile. If you need help archiving those floppies, a program like DiskCopy 6.3 would do great. It would be nice to look at a copy of the Mirror disk. If your PSU is having issues, it may need a recap (unless you already did that) I have recapping diagrams for the TDK model on my website. Enjoy your Mac, it's great!

Hey Steve, thanks for dropping by. I’m honoured. I’m a big fan of your work. The PSU has been recapped and cleaned. It was not happy when I bought it. I also recapped the logic board because, well 90s Apple really cheaped out on the eletrolytics. :). I’ll certainly look up disk copy 6.3, and il, get a copy of the Mirror disk uploaded to Macintosh garden and the internet archive soon. Sadly the monitor stopped working just after I finished filming. I suspect I’ll be recapping that next! Anyway, will drop by your discord soon.

Cheers Dave. And thanks. Sorry I missed the live stream on Halloween, I’d just finished an 8 show week and spent Sunday sleeping on the sofa intermittently. How about I pop on this weekend? I’ve a G5 Power Mac That needs a good cleaning ready for work at home. :)

Yeah, reluctant and non-cooperative screws are the bane. Watching someone doing assembly is nice and relaxing, though. With the floppy greasing off-screen... I don't think that's that much idiot at all. I mean, I'd guess most tech channels would use a pretty high resolution camera, positioned a bit further back and then they can just take a crop of whatever they want to focus on. Editing video's makes up for a lot. Glad to see the LC back to live. The weirdness of the monitor is just because it's mostly for Desktop publishing and it follows paper format.

Thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it. The monitor is now sitting it he repair pile having failed just after I filmed the last shot. I’ll adjust my filming angle for the next video, there’s always something new to learn doing this. :)
Great video on a good machine!
