I like how Emily just flat out ignored him when he said that!
I went there in 2010! : )
the news reporter was kind of rude...and when she talked about korean gazpacho soup he was like "oh you just dump a bunch of kimchi in it" when they were just discussing that kimchi isn't the only things koreans eat. -___-
I really dislike main stream television . But I love Maangchi .

very pretentious mainstream news network...he wont even let her talk after he asks a question.
Wow can't get more ignorant than "just dump kimchi into it?" Lol it's like saying dumping soy sauce to make it Asian. Joking aside, glad that you came to MOA, hope you come back soon so I can get to try your cooking! :D

Elizabeth Shaw I guess you missed the part where it says, "joking aside." Put your cyber sword down and just enjoy the video. Have a good day.
That's what most people think about Korean Cooking, that its all about Kimchi, Kimchi, Kimchi.. "Just dump kimchi into it"?? Haha but Good job Emily, you have explained it well.. Korean food is a perfect genuine example of a healthy balance meal, I've been watching your videos and i've noticed how easy it is to prepare low calorie soup, meat dishes that doesnt require much oil (because most of it are boiled, grilled or stewed) , kimchi (plenty of minerals and vitamins) , vegetables, spices (good for metabolism) ,dessert (not sweets but mostly Fruits), teas and snacks. Indeed Korean Food is far healthier.. I'm a fan!! Thanks Maangchi, 😘😘😘 It's me, RJ from the Philippines 🇵🇭

@XxkawaiiwriterxX Emily is just English name. Call me Maangchi! I'm thinking about changing my name to Maangchi. : ) Happy New Year!
omg, you guys' comments make me cry now. You really love me! Thank you very much! That's all I can say! Check the blog I just posted now. More photos and whom I met...etc are posted.
@xTHLx yeah, His first question was, "what is Korean food?", I didn't know how to answer.but time was very limited. He said I had only 2 minutes. I had to say whatever popped in my mind. He is actually nice person. It shows Korean food is not known to the world yet. Thank you very much for the warm-hearted comment!
I'm living in Korea right now and I discovered your channel when I wanted to learn how to make Kongbiji Jigae. I was surprised to see that you were featured my my old professor Todd Walker! I'll definately be checking out more of your videos in the future :D
Yay our Maangchi was on the news. I was smiling from ear to ear watching you. You rock and are very much appreciated for sharing Korean food with us non-korean people. Thank you so much.
Maybe he could have prepared for this interview by reading her book instead of sounding like he has no clue of cooking in general let alone Korean cuisine😉
You are such a natural in front of the camera! This was great! BRAVO! :)
"dump some kimchi in there?" freaking rude
YAY! Go maangchi! I am so glad you made it to the news! More people should recognize you for your awesome cooking and heartwarming personality! :)

Probably Emily is her international name, because some people from korea, japan or china (and other countries) use international names when their names become a bit difficult to pronounce in some country.
@Maangchi we love you Maangchi! Teh Reh Bee ae soh, Maangchi yae poh gae poh yoh!

Funny, says here you were in Mall of America and it just so happens that there's also a Mall of Asia (both abbreviated as MOA), coincidence? Anyways, you handled that segment pretty well. Great job! :D

Wow congratz! Great recognition here :D you should get your own show on Food Network now :)
@Maangchi You have a good heart.
@kcl060 Thanks a lot! Happy Saturday! : )
Wow, congratulations!
yes maangchi! i love you!! :)
i loved your pickled broccoli lunchbox video, id like to see more like that
Wow, that interviewer didn't let you answer right away. Boooo D:< But Maangchi, thanks so much for putting these videos up. I'm in college now and I enjoy cooking, and every now and then (more like EVERY) I want Korean food, so please keep up with the videos! :D
