Thank you for cutting most of the great points of both players and including their intense emotions amid the match. The 60 fps is great for ping pong. I think many fans would even love to see another longer versions showing the development and turning moments of the match.

My pleasure! Appreciate your comment. Fans that are interested in longer versions may consider the Olympics website (full match). Other channels may also have their own cut version of this match. My cutting style for table tennis is direct to the point, as much as possible. I haven’t posted TT in a while but I would edit them in a style that I would wish to see in other table tennis videos.

I just can't understand why I never look out for table tennis but every time I see it I find it amazing

Great match. Dima was about to pull off his first win ever against Ma, on the biggest stage but couldn't close out.

Watched this match live. Tbh I was rooting for Ovtcharov. Ma Long had really tough time. Imagine the scenes if he would've lost this! But dragon is dragon. Happy for Dima at least came back with bronze in singles 👍🏼

Yeah, unfortunately FZD was very nervous and didn't rise to the occasion which is why ML had a harder time beating Ovtcharov than beating FZD.

Chinese players play with each other too often, they know each other woo well, that's why sometimes there's a unique fear when playing against Ma Long.

Although he lost, Ovcharov's counter short to Ma Long's forehand side was brilliant.

2-2 7-8 may not be the most spectacular but iconic to me with a trademark shot selection. The classic short forehand serve, Dima backhand flick from the forehand, ML's forehand attack. Dima tries to move ML to the middle and back into the deep forehand , but the quality and placement of the last ball is too good, and even with open table it's out.

look at their faces! they look like they've aged 10 years after these matches are over, their central nervous system is completely burnt out and probably need at least a half hour before they even feel normal again. bottom line TT is just extremely stressful game of firing signals from our brain to body... they're pretty much zombies after any kind of competitive game.

@@jwenang5364 I get that, but tennis is the same way, 6 hour matches between goats like Nadal and Djokovic and they'll hug it out at the end everytime regardless of the winner, its a show of respect for going through war together/against each other

@@jwizdum2103 not the same, tennis is more like a physically demanding marathon but you have time to think and process the ball leaving and coming, plus the effort of running back and forth it gives your brain a chance to relax even though your body is exhausted. TT is more brain stimulation and quick twitch type of game.(at this level at least) it's the same reason why we're more tired after lifting weights for an hour even with breaks than if we were to jog continuously for an hour. (well for any person in decent shape) I get what you're saying they can make an effort to be more congratulatory at the end, but it'd be more pushed and fake considering they're really not all there.
