M3E Create Custom DSM

Ғылым және технология

The terrain follow feature available in the enterprise series of the Mavic 3 is a great way to adjust your mapping missions to the surrounding terrain, improving the quality of the output by ensuring a consistent field of view and ground sampling distance (GSD).
However, if you want to map at low levels you are going to need to use a DSM file. And if the maps from your area are out of date or not detailed enough, then you will need to create your own DSM.
Here's how to do that.
00:00 Introduction
00:20 Reasons for creating a DSM
00:30 Introduce WebODM (Open Drone Map)
00:47 Mapping the area as input to the DSM
01:30 Processing in WebODM
01:45 Adjusting the detail level of the DSM
02:10 Downloading the DSM
02:35 Move to the controller and create a new map
03:15 Importing the DSM for your map
04:02 Comparing downloaded and created DSM files

Go to about 1:45 in that video. It shows how to adjust the detail level to get smaller file sizes.
