You are a gentleman and a scholar. Bought an Owen telescoping stock that was missing barrel band spring. Your content has been invaluably helpful especially when my extractor chipped and I had to replace it. Had your video up step by step when my bolt tool finally arrived.

Excellent. Precisely what I needed to see. My upper handguard started to crack so I decided to replace the wood with a metal one and I bought a Choate stock so I could just put my wood stock and handguard away and keep them safe but still enjoy shooting my M1. Thanks for uploading this.

Make sure you don't sand any original cartouches or crossed cannons!!!

I bought a $29 stock online. Sanded it with 150 grit sandpaper. Then rubbed on 3 coats of BLO. The final finish is dark brown but it looks good. Came with the buttplate, recoil plate and barrel spring.
