What a grandpa. I never remember my grandpa's lifting a finger other than to lift up a pint glass. How on earth did you find that in the ground? I'd have wanted to turn it into an axe grinding wheel, if I had the skills. Your idea was easier though. I like the leveraging and use of old bricks etc 😊

@@jurybur_bobkov Definitely a mill stone. The smaller one would roll around the large disc and grind the grain.

@@jurybur_bobkov Probably dumped, or maybe there was a mill there at one time. Where I’m at, once these stones became obsolete, ppl wanted no part of them because of the work involved. Over the years some ppl would rescue the stones, and they’ve become “yard art” across the country side. Many of these old mills were bulldozed down and hauled off into holes or random “trash piles”, as time went by the places were cleared and turned into fields, housing, and other things. I think maybe the field he is in is close to the building where the other stone was, possibly the mill a long time ago.

So much plastic garbage in the field? This is stone isn't it a archeological finding, meaning it must go in the museum?

The stone clearly was dumped there some time ago along with the plastic and styrofoam. Now they found a way to make money with it, via a video, they dug it up.
