Shahid's mature performance was a perfect foil for Kareena's exuberance in this movie. Kareen's role was that of a scatter brained, live for the moment teenager. Shahid's was that of an " ishk ka maara huwa", disillusioned, sad young man who has lost interest in life. Both Kareena and Shahid lived their roles. One of my all time favourites.

To all the great people justifying Anshuman. Did he ever tell Geet that he doesn't want to get married? He neither said yes nor said no aka led her on. Also if he was so sure that he doesn't want to get married to Geet why did that suddenly change when Geet started moving on. Because men like Anshuman don't want to commit but they still want to have a sense of control over people and these people don't like it when they see that they are losing control over them and hence act the way Anshuman did. Had Anshuman been a practical person he would have clarified in the beginning itself that this is casual and he isn't interested in marriage. However I do agree that Geet should not have run away from her house without having a 100% commitment from Anshuman. People shouldn't be naive and trusting in this cunning world however that doesn't give us a right to deceive or betray someone who has a pure heart just because they aren't 'practical' enough. The only person who was practical in this movie was Aditya who was always a 100% in touch with his feelings and reacted 'practically' (after he met Geet)

I think Anshuman told her clearly that he didnt want to get married yet and she should not run away from home for him. Sure he was not ready for marriage at that time but he would have been fine with it at a later time. That later time happened at the end of the movie. But geet could not wait because she was being pressured at her home to get married. Of course she could have chosen to face her house members head on and told them the truth about everything but she chose the path of running away because it was easier for her at that time. And then she didnt even bother about her family for 9 months, shows how little she cared about them. Girls should not forget their family just for a guy or just because of a guy. It is completely stupid behaviour how girls value a guy they have just met, over their family they have known their entire life.

I know right, my only complain abt this movie is that they showcased Anshuman as a bad guy for not marrying Geet when she came to him without him knowing about her plans. It was no doubt childish and irresponsible of her but I also can not get over about the remarks he made bout Geet, like he very well knew about her plans of getting married one day as he mentions so he could have expressed his intentions of not wanting to get married now or how he called her childish and irresponsible and annoying yet continued to be in a relationship with her till she got to Shimla. He could handle the matter much more gently too rather being rude to her ,nor he was worried about her safety when she was all alone in Shimla.

I cant believe this is the same guy who played Haider, same guy who played a drug addicted rockstar in udta punjab, who was in movies like Kaminey, and Padmavat. Like the acting range..

Aditya k love without expectations kitna achcha hai

The uncle’s acting is superb... the anguish and concerns for his niece clearly depicted. It’s good that they shown the mistake of running away from home especially when the other person is not ready. Even if anshuman is a projected as a bad person, the girl cannot force guy to marry her if he is not ready. Marriage is a big and mutual responsibility. Geet was at wrong here and not anshuman. Hopefully girls can get to discuss with their parents about their choice for partner rather than having to resort to run away from home. Unfortunately running away is regarded as a dishonor issue rather than safety issue for the girl.

Anshuman was wrong here becoz the way he handled the situation no doubt geet was immature and it was her fault also but anshuman never loved cared for geet. The way i see it anshuman was not serious about geet and only doing timepass and geet was serious for him

I guess she no choice, though depicted as childish and irresponsible, geet was almost set up for an arrange marriage, and she had explained herself that since not of same caste her family wouldn't approve of her choice, and for Ayushman well the only thing he didn't did was he didn't ran away for Geet! To fight for his love ( if he cared)

Relationship is two way. Anshuman character is not wrong as he clearly was not interested in the relationship therefore can’t be pushed into accepting geet. Even if u assume aditya is good, u need to do your part to keep the relationship alive and not assume aditya will treat u like a queen and u don’t have to do your part.

nooo it wasn't brutal at all, it was respectful. he was acknowledging the fact that whatever transpired in the family does not take away from everything she's done for the company, and regardless of any resentment he might hold towards her as her son on a personal level, she still deserves to be treated with due respect, and so she shall. it was beautiful to me, because women often don't get the credit they deserve in the workplace. and clearly, judging from the end of the movie, it was also him starting to accept her back into his life as his mom too. one of my favorite scenes! the mrs. khanna is only rightful professionalism.
