I miss the real Hockenheim so much. The forest section brings up so much nostalgia. And this is also the way F1 cars are supposed to sound!

I miss the old layout. They could have kept it for endurance races. I went to hockenheim in 2016 to watch the DTM. I went for a walk on the old layout, most of the track is gone

The 2001 Hockenheim F1 track makes me miss memories of F1 2001 PS1.😢

Listen to that crowd when Schumy jump into the spare car! (And some people say that Michael was not an idol inside germany lol)

I was eating my roast dinner when this happened

This was the 1st F1 race I had ever seen. That crash was so shocking at the time, I had never seen anything like it at 12 years old. F1 made a fan for life that day

God those engines are beautiful 😊

Seems crazy the pit lane was kept open. Red flag is to completely clear the circuit and protect marshals - cut to Schumacher driving by a recovery vehicle and Marshals recovering his car.

This was the Austrian GP 2000 race not in this race, I believe there are talks of Michael wanting the race to be red flag and tried to park his Ferrari in the middle of apex so that the officials could Red flag it but they were not having it unfortunately which meant Michael had to retire.

Look at all that debris on the track. Even back then they would have red flagged this even without his car there

michael schumacher has motorcycle accident on the circuit of Cartagena (Murcia) spain. Schmacher had sinds 2009 pain in back, when went to Grenoble Hospital where he undergoes two surgeries and here is were we are now. I ever ask were it come for back pain and schumacher neck pain? was this cause by a crash?

When Hockenheim was a proper track.

Before cost caps, fuel saving and all that, most teams had a spare cars (T-Cars) for occasions just like this...

Spare cars would be a nightmare today. There would be discrimination between the primadonna boys of today.

the cars should never have been allowed to go through that debris...... they should have been brought to a halt behind a stationery safety car someway back and waited until all the debris was removed then given the signal to go i.e at a very slow speed behind the safety car until they are all through the area and they are back to where they originally started and then start/resume once the safety car has peeled away off the track into the pit/s.....

​​​@@abduljabar8445 He has a point. If you drive over sharp carbon fiber debris with your tires you can pick up a puncture and ultimately be destroyed if you race on tires with punctures. You have to protect and preserve your tires for the race as you only get 2 or 3 sets no matter what race strategy you have.

@@rogermaniaI don’t necessarily remember him being a dangerous driver, but despite his short time in F1, he had three massive shunts. Brake failure in Monaco, Flying over Schumacher in Germany, and then his final crash at Spa. Most thought he was a goner after that one. Not that these crashes were his fault, but to have three huge crashes like that in a short space of time… He seemed like a really unlucky guy.
