The attacks on the 11th of September 2001 shook the world.
I had the chance to visit Ground Zero, the site of the World Trade Center, in New York this July.
I saw the 9/11 Memorial and I was lost for words.
I prayed for the victims, that they would be remembered and that their souls would rest in peace. I prayed that the world would know peace in the future.
I played this song on a 25 and 17 string koto as on extension to my prayer.
I wish everyone the best in the future, and that everyone's hopes and aspiration are achieved.

I'm a citizen of the United States; it is December of 2016. I have never known a time when my homeland seems so fragmented, so angry, so fearful. From here, it's never felt much of the world is so on edge. Still, listening to this, an American song with lyrics so powerful it is almost a prayer, performed on such a beautiful traditional Japanese instrument reminds me humanity can also create great beauty across lines of culture and time. Maybe there is reason for hope-that this time of anger and anxiety too will pass. I will go cry now. Domo arigato gozaimasu, Watanabe-san. Anato no Ongaku wa totemo kirei desu.

Oddly, I've never felt better about our nation. There is nowhere to go but up. Oh and I just bought a koto for 35.00 at an estate auction. Thirteen string model. Last year I learned the bagpipes. Been playing clarinet since 1965 and I try to play everyday.

Cool Hand Luke it is 2019 and things have never been better for America; Unemployment is at a 50 or low, the economy is booming and average household income increased by $5,000. Christmas is just passed and Christmas sales were off the hook. Americans feel better about themselves and their country.

@@dennisvance4004 There's more to a nation than it's economy, the entire Western world is being pushed into degeneracy and decline through rampant individualism and consumerism, we are morally and spiritually bankrupt, set to be minorities in our own homelands within a few short decades. But hey Christmas sales were off the hook!
