In der Innenstadt sah es in den 60 - er Jahren noch ganz ähnlich aus, die alte Trambahn fuhr vom Stachus zum Marienplatz, was für Radler beinahe lebensgefährlich war. Diese Straßenbahnen waren noch offen und wir sprangen im letzten Moment auf, was natürlich streng verboten war... In der Bahn - Unterführung in Sendling legten mia Buama als Mutprobe Pfennige auf die Straßenbahn Schienen, immer wieder, bis sie ganz platt gepresst waren und als besonderes Zahlungsmittel galten. Auf den Bahngleisen durften wir natürlich auch nicht spielen, wir spielten dort Indianer und jeder kam irgendwann an den Marterpfahl ! Mit 7 Jahren belogen wir die Kassierin vom Edeka und holten " für den Vater " die 11 - er Packung Zigaretten. Mein Freund Rudi - mit dem man viele aufregende Dinge unternehmen konnte - und ich rauchten dann die ganze Packung, bis uns ganz schlecht war ( und ich mir so ganz früh das Rauchen abgewöhnt habe :).

Auf den Bildern schaut das meiste so aus wie heute, obwohl München durch den Krieg sich stark verändert hat. Aber dass es das Undosa - Bad mit dem Park in Starnberg schon damals so gab ist erstaunlich.

What a beautiful city and area!! Saw that this was filmed in 1941 and thought of Dachau Concentration about 30 minutes away. Life went on for some but not for others: (

I was in Munich in the winter of 2018 . Liked ti cosmopolitan vibe with ppl from many parts of the world. There was Uygur restaurant a few blocks away from the main station where I used to take Linsen soup. A city with history in all shades. Was wondering how many ppl may have walked through the main station. Also saw some couples sitting on top of one of the bridges sipping beer when I visited in the fall of 2019. Saw a beautiful lady sitting with her mother on the hall in Odeonsplatz . Could be middle eastern or Mediterranean . Saw the shirkers way behind the hall.Visited Dachau in the fall of 2019 . Found it odd that such a beautiful village hid something so dark in its back side. Saw the remains of the rail track which had the deathtrain from Buchenwald. After Dachau came back to Munich Mariensplatz had indian food there and returned in the evening to remove the effect of having seen Dachau . A beautiful city that has seen a lot. I only wished people spoke English so that I could enjoy the cosmopolitan vibe.

Everyone looks so happy and peaceful, in 3 years they would not be so happy nor so peaceful and they brought in on themselves!

Pity they did not film Dachau, amazing all those nice people whilst the Holocaust was only a number of miles away.

That time few km from Munchen in Dachau germans murdered thousands of people from Poland f.e. my grandmather’s brother only because he was Polish priest.

Gee ... minus the Nazis it was such a beautiful, peaceful, looking place. !
