This one's great. I like how the song focuses on Astarions inner feelings, and not on the pretty packege they come in.

DANG. okay, I did not expect THIS?! Astarion is (tied with Karlach because I love that woman) my favorite character, so I was specially excited to hear what you've been cooking. And dang, that's a whole damn meal and then some more! It's such an emotional raw song, filled with all the things our vampire man works so hard to hide behind his flamboyant personality: resentment, anger, determination, euphory for tasting freedom yet the NEED to defy Cazador because who knows how long his blessing will be, right? I feel like the chorus is exactly that, this need to strike back, almost like a cornered hurt animal. Also, the repetition of the bridge, with the suble changed in the second pair of verses, just like the daily routine he had to suffer all those decades, tortured, obliged to hunt innocent people for his master, deprived, etc... The final chorus is like letting go of a chokehold...

I stumbled across this video by pure accident, but OMG this is amazing!! I am truly fascinated by the lyrics, the increasing tempo, your voice and the way it all comes to "fuck you, Cazador" in the end. It shows SO MUCH of Astarion's inner demons, insecurities and fears! I am flipping blessed by youtube just showing me this video as recommended, for me this one is the best Astarion fan song from now on 💜

Absolutely stunning. I love how the song, rather than focusing on Astarion's outer facade of a flamboyant and theatrical man, is focused on the inner turmoil our sweet little star is going through and how intense the emotions behind his mask are. (I think this makes sense. I love how the song represents Astarion's actual character, that's what I'm trying to say. Not the best at articulating my thoughts, apologies^^)

Incredible! I love the fact that in this particular song, my focus was on the words and your enchanting singing, rather than the music - although of course, when I came back to reality and heard the beat, the music seemed perfect. The way you sing it sounds like awareness, pure rage, despair and hope all at the same time. It sounds like a familiar echo in the head, an obsessive thought, like a desperate routine. It sounds like Astarion. Very much about the character and his thoughts, as expected from you. Absolutely stunning.

I like the arrangement, but I think the melody is too plain to carry this song. It's just the same two sequences over and over, although the second half is better. Still, good job! Especially the multiple voices
