Acrylic puddle pour tutorial. This has been a wonderful collaboration! Getting to know Dwight has been fun, exciting and just an incredible experience. We had a lot of communication and worked closely on the base formula and color concept. We both made a few tweaks of our own, to make it our own. He is very passionate about art, I have so much respect for him as an artist and as a human. The takeaway was certainly a friend at the very least.

Here are more details....
Colors
* Prussian blue/ Paynes grey mix (Liquatex)
* Turquoise (I mixed liquatex basics turquoise with a bit of golden turquoise, and touch of Jenkins green)
* Burnt sienna and violet mix (I used Grumbacher sienna and golden ultramarine violet)
* Pink, I used a craft paint and bright pink mixed with some white, and then added some of my burnt sienna and violet mix.
* A touch of yellow ocher
* Gold - 24k decoart
* Decoart garnet red, added prussion blue in it to make a dark plum.
* Burnt umber mixed with mars black
Basecoat;
* 3 parts floetrol
* 2 parts artist loft flow white
* 1/2 part liquatex pm (or less)
* 1/2 part satin enamel
* Water to thin
Paint mixture:
* 1 part paint
* 1/2 floetrol
* Squirt of liquatex pm
* Water to thin
Cloud mix used over top colors (MelyD inspired)
* 1 part artist loft flow white
* 1 part satin enamel
* 1/2 part modern masters iridescent pearl (for color and shine)
* Water to thin (thicker then paints)

This brought tears to my eyes. Why? Where do I begin..... maybe it’s because the longer I do this art, the more biases I develop. These are just my own jaded opinions and I don’t mean to offend anyone but I have been craving more than what we have done up to this point in paint pouring. Using only primary colors gives you a piece that can be created based on a box of crayons. It’s easy and do not have to worry about color combinations or put much thought and effort into them. The colors in this piece are well thought out, they take time to create, and they compliment each other like old friends.I have no words to describe the movement within this. It too took thought and effort yet there is so much freedom within it. Truly I cannot remember the last time a piece of art or music or a sunset brought such emotion to the surface for me. Selfishly I feel like you created this canvas strictly for me, to sooth my soul. Thank you for “giving” it to me. I know I will come back often to this video when I am in need of reassurance, hope, and comfort. Lastly, I sit with baited breath waiting for your next masterpiece!!!!!

I love your art....I love how you reach to learn more...your quiet passion...your generosity in showing us that art can be so much more then 'dumping paint on a canvas' not to take away anything from the artists who have so generously showed the rest of us how beautifully paint can mix and mingle on a canvas for that too can be so beautiful for those of us who love color. I love MelyD and DwightPours, and Elsye Fournier ...and Ariso Roo...and Waterfall Acrylics and Sara Mack and Abstract N Go, and acrylic pouring with cindy vanderveen....and so many more artists who have given their time and hard work to Fluid Art. I love all the artists and the art they have created on you tube........a huge huge thank you for this particular technique and style Sara.....and a huge thank you for taking the time to show us what can be done beyond the clouds!!!!!! I've been retired for 12 years now and have some time on my hands. Love to be creative and discovered this by watching KUWTK while Khloe was doing something like a pour painting. This is so amazing and would love to try it as it seems relaxing while you work. This is Wonderful and Amazing!
Wow this is a very emotional piece!!! We all know how long it takes to choose our colors and mix our paints. Too often many artist then go about painting leaving it mostly to chance and are done in five minutes. Pour it on tilt it around and done. Never knowing what it could really be. But you Sara take your time, as it should be, playing with the paint and canvas. Adding touches of movement here and there. Contemplating always what to do next. Thank you Sara for bringing back real abstract painting. It takes methodical thinking and a good eye for movement, composition and color!!! So did I tell you yet that I love this piece? I really do. Great job!!

Your technique is exactly the style that I am after with lots of negative space and earth colors. I have been a painter since.childhood art school dropout but always had my own studio and have sold many with shows. I am interested in texture, brilliance and simple compositions and you have that. OMG that was so much fun! I could sit and watch you create for hours!! It is so exciting to see what a true artist can do with fluid art. There are a ton of people now playing with the whole paint pouring craze. They’re having fun and that’s great but to see someone like you come along and use a somewhat fad technique and modify it so that it becomes a piece of art that is so far advanced from a simple flip cup that I about came to tears watching this amazing piece being born. Watching you work was almost like watching a ballet which was both calming and enthralling at the same time. Thank you so much for sharing and I’m so happy that I ran across your video. Truly lovely. I found peace here. I can’t deal with most pours, I don’t understand the need to stretch that paint over the last corner of negative space. You can’t make me watch a tree ring pour. I think this has something to do with always being an artist before finding paint pouring. My Doctor made me change to abstract and I love paint pouring but it has to be your own. You and Dwight have that. I don’t make video’s so I don’t have to share what makes me happy. This does, thank you. ❤️
