The kookaburra sounds were amazingly accurate. The lyrebird must have been impressed with the kookaburra vocalisation.. about an hour before listening to this video I heard a flock of kookaburra's doing exactly what the lyre bird was doing. The laser gun is amazing. What a legend.

His feet are remarkable but the multiple layers of sound created by this amazing and beautiful bird defy my understanding of how the larynx works!😮

I think the name comes from the tailfeathers. You can see near the end of the video that the tail is framed by two feathers that look like the frame of a lyre.

Most people don't understand that birds actually mimic what they hear, so when they show a bird crying like an old lady which I saw a while ago and people had to call the the police to check out on who's screaming that way, that sent chills down to my spine that voice was the creepiest ever who knows what that guy did to his mother or grandmother?!
